"Ah! Welcome my friend, at least, should someone be reading this journal of mine other than myself. I do hope that should it be under the circumstances that you have found this book other than on my person, you will return it, but, if it is under my pretense... well, I suppose I am standing nearby to reclaim it once you are finished, am I not?
But alas, I am getting ahead of myself. My name if Aldrich Darwyn, a resident of Thriftone City of this Lanorae region. I suppose you may find it strange I have opted for instead keeping a journal of my Pokémon and other such matters rather than storing everything on a PC like most but... well, I quite prefer to be able to hold a book and I have always been particularly fond of writing.
Thus, I feel a journal of my Pokémon is much more fitting, wouldn't you agree? Perhaps it doesn't have the storage capacity of a machine such as a computer and it is a bit more of a hassle to retrieve any partners that are presently staying elsewhere, but it will do. It will do indeed. But, I have kept you too long with this meager introductory. Please, feel free to continue reading. I will not keep you any longer.
