If he couldn't get a Pokémon to trust him just because he signed a few papers, he had a small, golden pocket watch he inherited from his father. He'd actually gotten it to work on his brothers once or twice before. For example, he'd hypnotized Jason into a trance on the route where they were temporarily so he could come adopt a new Poochyena. He also heard of a Sneasel for adoption, but it was nicknamed something dumb he wouldn't be able to live with. Plus there were certain requirements behind the Sneasel's adoption, which was a bit off-setting. But that didn't matter, Arthur knew what he wanted. He approached the counter, and short and sweet, he stated, "I'd like to adopt a Poochyena."[random event roll] no event [/center]

ooc. Sorry for the wait on this, Cool
bic. The "business" at the adoption center had been, unfortunately, somewhat slow lately. Though fortunately, the young woman that was presently positioned behind the counter had found something to keep her busy. She really wasn't the type to be easily bored after all. Being easily amused certainly did have it's benefits, even if other aspects of her nature proved to be more of a disadvantage than anything. Short attention-span for example.
However, as a trainer approached -- and asked about adoption rather than abandonment no less! -- she looked up immediately, a smile fixed firmly on her lips as she tilted her head slightly so it was a bit easier for her to listen. "Oh yes, yes! Of course! I'm sure a Poochyena would love to come with you! Just one moment okay?"
She ducked away from the counter, disappearing to the maze of back rooms that contained the Pokémon up for adoption -- and apparently finding her way rather easily as she returned fairly promptly and placed a pokeball on the counter. "There's your Poochyena! There is a small adoption fee of course, but that's really nothing compared to giving a Pokémon a loving home, right?" She smiled warmly.
Name: -Your Choice- Gender: -Your Choice- Level: oo1. Attacks: Tackle. Ability: Run Away. Nature: -Your Choice- Experience Points: 0% Happiness Status: 5 Tolerance. Congratulations! Due to you adopting the Poochyena, its Happiness has been elevated from zero to five!

((Wait!? One week =/= equal wait. One year, A.K.A. original lab thread for J&A = wait. Work out the math, Ayra, it isn't complicated.))
Arthur took the 'ball that the "desk lady" gave him, minimizing it and placing it away in his pocket. "Thank you, madame. It's possible I, or my idiot brother, shall return soon. Or not, you never know. So long." With one short wave, the eldest Geraldson brother exited the building, with a small smile on his face.
