Name: Yuri Hitoehi
Nickname: Yu, Yu-Yu, Yurreh
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Occupation: Trainer
Appearance: [WARNING: Due to copy and paste, may be choppy and confusing and may restate things.]
Yuri. Her hair is always kept long and it drops down around the top of her skirt. Speaking of skirt, Yuri wears a typical schoolgirl's uniform even though she's technically not in a school at the time being. The main color set of it is white and green. She wears a tiny brown belt around her waist and a red ribbon on her neck. She also has a ribbon in her hair. Her eyes are a deep purple color, and are usually bright and full of emotion. She wears black shoes that are out of leather.
Despite eating the large amounts she typically does, Yuri never seems to gain much weight, at all. She has long, beautiful, glimmering violet hair that matches the color of her eyes. It's quite unusual and strange, really. Normally one would expect blonde, brown, black, or some sort of orange hair, but nope. Yuri's the odd one out with strange, natural purple hair and eyes. She has a slim build and can run very long distances. Yuri can do a good 10 or 15 seconds burst-running, as she likes to call it, before she has to stop and take a breath. Sure, one could say she isn't fit for running, but she believes she'll be able to do it anyways in the future if she keeps working on it in the present.
Personality: Yuri's a very playful person. She's headstrong and caring about everyone around her, though she may not come off like that from time to time. Yuri will jump into things instantly, but can also come up with a strategy on the spot; something not many can do. She holds a lot of unique thoughts on things and overlooks some situations in a more hilarious or playful manner than normal people her age. Or just normal people in general. She's weird and has been weird from day one, but embraces it. Most anyone who takes first impressions will note that, but she really knows she's unique, whether it's in a strange way or not. Yuri can be lazy from time to time, and it's one of her greatest weaknesses besides perverts. She absolutely hates them. On a different note, she's very intelligent and even though she has a terrible memory, Yuri can learn about things very quickly. For that, she's been told that a Breeder's the job for her, but she'd much rather be a Trainer and be out there in the field more than sitting around breeding Pokémon. After all, who wants to do such a boring and tedious job..?
Okay, nevermind. Breeding Pokémon is something that Yuri acknowledges as something that breeders are interested in. She's very kind and sweet to people that she meets, and especially will try to help out anyone if they are in any sort of bad situation. She can get on many people's nerves if they can't stand a joke or two, but Yuri is actually very likable if people take time to get to get to know her. She isn't judgemental at all, and can easily try to get along with people and Pokemon, even though that might fail every so often. Legendary, rare, common, or uncommon, she tries to classify every Pokémon as the same deep down, as well as people. Weird, cool, stupid, ugly, or nice, all the same.
Yuri's incredibly outgoing and has a powerful, fiery personality. Rarely will anything stop her once she's made a decision, and decide she will. Her hotheaded spirit burns through all who dare challenge it! Speaking of hot, her favorite Pokémon types are fire and dragon, in that order. Her favorite Pokémon types are the cute ones and the really 'freakin' awesome' looking ones, in her words. She doesn't believe in giving up, and never will give up unless if pushing on endangers her friends or her Pokemon's well being. Yuri doesn't like to drag other people down along with her, and usually goes freelance in travels and journeys, except if friends, people, or Pokémon will follow, in which case she would probably be concerned about their safety.
History: Yuri was born and raised in New Bark Town, which didn't exactly give her an eventful life. Her parents didn't really have anything to do with Pokemon, besides the fact that her father had a Totodile he had gotten when he was ten on a journey to become a Pokémon trainer. Now the Totodile was a Croconaw, and he just lived a relaxed life with his wife and daughter. Well, Yuri didn't want to be stuck in a house forever with his parents and his dad's Pokemon, so she decided that when she became ten, she would get her starter and get going on becoming a trainer. Well, her tenth birthday finally came, and she was so excited, she barely took any time getting up, dressed, and everything. Yuri went off to get her starter Pokemon, which would have been either Chikorita, Cyndaquil, or Totodile. After a long while of thinking, she decided since she liked Fire types the most, she would pick Cyndaquil. The professor gave her the Pokemon's pokeball, and she instantly released him and named him Scorch.
They seemed to get along okay, not necessarily great or terribly, and they didn't exactly get along way too well. Cyndaquil was grateful for finally being out of his Pokeball, out in the world with a trainer, but didn't like the whole trainer part to the highest degree. You see, he was a more wild digimon and not necessarily the type that would love being stuck either in a Pokeball or fighting for some kid he barely knew, if you know what I mean. So while Yuri tried to do her part to become more like friends instead of pet and owner with Scorch. Of course it was a lost cause by the minute that she had picked Cyndaquil as her starter. Or so it was easily thought of as so.. And so, it was at least a week and Cyndaquil refused to fight and would only interact with Yuri to eat or attack her when she annoyed him. She was stuck still living at home for the time in that week, as traveling with a Pokémon that refused to fight was pretty much suicide if any wild Pokémon or 'bad' trainer came along.
It all changed so quickly, and it surprised everyone around the two. Their tense relationship turned into a strong bond, as one day occurred and they were forced to face off against a Spinarak that had come into the town. Not that he would have been angered, but Yuri's father's Crocanaw wasn't all too happy about another Pokémon trying to get so dangerously close to his trainer's family, and attacked it. However, the only thing that he was able to accomplish was getting himself stuck in a String Shot attack, immobile. It was now up to Scorch and Yuri to defeat the angered bug-type Pokemon, as he wouldn't leave the family alone without their intervention. At first, the battle was refused by Cyndaquil, but Spinarak wasn't joking one bit about fighting them, and shot a String Shot at the fire-type. Scorch was so wrapped up in ignoring the battle that he didn't have time to react, and it would have been absolutely impossibly to dodge if anyone didn't intervene. Well, Yuri didn't want her partner in crime to get hit by the String Shot, and ran, barely in time, to shield Cyndaquil from the attack. While she was all stickied up by this, she left her Pokémon able to fight.
Scorch was amazed that she'd actually want to protect him, and smiled at her. For the first time, the flames on his back fired up and he used 'Ember' on the Spinarak, crisping it instantly and forcing it to flee to avoid further sizzling. Cyndaquil was able to then free Croconaw and Yuri by means of burning them, but hey, not everything can be perfect, now, can it? Well, after about an hour of being chased by the water Pokemon, Scorch and Yuri were finally able to get back down to earth and speak to each other, even if most of it was just high pitched squeaks of one's own name. They bonded instantly, as Yuri defended Cyndaquil and Scorch in turn protected Yuri. The girl that owned his pokeball promised not to ever force him into it, so he could be more wild. Well, all in all it worked out pretty well. Cyndaquil protected Yuri from wild Pokémon and 'bad' trainers, and in turn, Yuri would let him out of his pokeball. Three years passed of them traveling out of their hometown. Scorch and Yuri at this point were inseperable, and were more of really close friends rather than Pokémon and trainer. Together, they were able to actually get six gym badges. Yuri hasn't caught any other Pokémon so far other than Cyndaquil, which doesn't really even count as a capture due to being her starter. But they hope to have some others to have on a team, soon.
Well, she couldn't stay in Johto forever, however. Adventures never rest, despite it seeming like they do for some people. After hearing about a certain "Lanorae region," Yuri had given her loyal Cyndaquil Scorch to her younger sister and they parted in tears. Yuri's journey was beginning anew again, and she would be able to visit Cyndaquil from time to time a year later or two anyways so it wasn't too bad. She boarded a ship and headed over to the new region, a smile planted on her face and eyes gleaming.
Her new adventure was starting.
