Buses were no fun. No fun at all. To that conclusion came the young man that stumbled out of one of them, things he now considered to be in the same league with the Terminator and the Decepticons. Ryan never ever got bothered by motion sickness. Not in cars, not on boats and not on planes. Buses were a different story. Buses were minions of the evil forces in this world, no doubt about it.
But, idiotic ideas and conspiracy theories aside, he was here now. Thank Arceus. The young man took a moment to take a deep breath and look around, ruffling through his dark brown hair as he did. Konika village was a nice place. It reminded him of the little villages he visited sometimes, back in Fiore, but oddly enough he wasn't exactly feeling homesick. If anything, he was happy not to be there anymore; knowing his mother she'd hug him first for finally coming back and then strangle him for going away in the first place. Grinning slightly as a miniature version of his mother chased a miniature version of him around his head, Ryan slipped his hands into the pockets of his pants and began walking the last bit to the Laboratory. Time to enjoy the fresh air.
It wasn't until he had nearly reached the front door when he noticed that he wasn't the only one with the idea to visit Professor Aspen today. So far, however, all he caught from this other person was a mop of dark red hair. Tilting his head slightly in curiosity, Ryan slowed his pace somewhat, coming to a halt a few steps behind her.
"Mornin'~" ----- "Mornin'~"
Gasping lightly, not having expected someone else out here, Liz blinked and looked over her shoulder, her hand hovering inches away from the door still after having knocked. Her mild shock disappeared as soon as it had appeared, however, and a polite smile curved the lips of the young woman. Finally retreating her hand, using it to brush a strand of her hair from her eyes, she nodded politely at the male standing a few steps behind her.
"Hey," she greeted, turning toward him. "I already knocked, so... I suppose someone should be out here any minute?"
While not exactly bothered by the company, Liz remembered why she liked it better to be in a radio studio all by herself than to be in the company of someone else; she felt so embarrassed so easily. Her cheeks showing an interesting shade of red already, the redhead was quick to direct her attention to the floor; by the sound of it, much to the young man's amusement. Gently biting her lip, not feeling extremely comfortable, Liz looked up again.
"Eh..."
"It's alright," the boy replied with a grin, holding out his hand to her for a handshake. "I'm Ryan,"
Liz spent a moment or two staring at Ryan's hand, her mind not quite processing what to do next. What was he... Oh, of course! Her cheeks a tad red still, Liz took his hand and shook it, a small, lop-sided smile appearing on her face.
"L-liz. Nice to meet you,"[/blockquote]

ooc. Really sorry for the wait, Lizzy </3 I kept missing your thread. I'm just gonna reply with this account so I can't get side-tracked, so yay for my aide character who doesn't have an NPC account yet =D; Also, have I ever mentioned there's someone in my school that looks a lot like your avatar? xD
bic. William was grumpy during the day. Very grumpy. So grumpy the Crobat that was perched on the nearby desk didn't know why she even bothered hanging around him. True, he was a good trainer, he made her happy [how else would she have evolved into her present stage?], but at the same time... well, she supposed all humans had their tiring moments at times. Oh so very tiring.
An incoherent grumble escaped the lips of the messy-haired man that was presently sound asleep in the nearby chair, which earned a relatively bored look from the Crobat. It was true that she was supposed to be asleep, but no, all the other aides were out doing something or other, and her trainer couldn't hope to stay awake, so she was on watch. She yawned as she stretched her wings, showing off her fangs before she settled down again to glare at the sunlight streaming through the nearby window. It was so dang bright.
She whipped her head around as she heard the obvious sound of a knock on the lab door, as she muttered some noise or other under her breath as she turned around to look at her trainer again. Well, at least he normally didn't act irritable toward her after the initial anger from being woken up wore off. The bat opened her mouth, and released an extremely loud -- and probably painful considering William's close proximity -- screech. The effect was instantaneous.
"VEIN. WHAT THE HEL--" William's angry cry was cut off as Vein slapped one of her wings against his mouth to get him to cool off before jerking her head in the direction of the door. William grumbled to himself but got up, not bothering to fix his crooked lab coat as he walked over and wrenched open the door.
"What do you bloody want. I was sleeping," he muttered, glaring accusingly at the two individuals present. [/blockquote]

[/font] ith a rather startled look upon her face, Elizabeth was quick to take a step back once the door to the laboratory opened. The welcome this aide had provided her and this other guy - Ryan, was it? - with couldn't exactly be classified as very friendly. As a matter of fact, Liz was silently convinced it served more to scare them away rather than to invite them in...Almost out of instinct, the redhead shuffled a tad closer to her male companion, as if she was trying to hide behind him like a shy, little girl forced to go see her mean aunt...uncle. Ryan ddn't exactly seemed to notice; he didn't seem all that affected by the way he was addressed, either. Instead, a hint of a smile curved his lips, and like nothing ever happened, politely nodded his head at William. "We're incredibly sorry, sir. Its just that my friend and I would like to ask you some questions in regard to a homicide to obtain our Starter Pokémon today. And we're kind of excited."Ryan briefly exchanged a look with Liz, winking at her to signal she should just play along with him. It seemed Ryan had noticed William wasn't so much of a morning person - really, how hard was that to miss anyway? - so pusing him by rushing him was not such a good idea. Maybe. Perhaps. Liz gave a quick nod to confirm she understood, turning her attention to William shortly afterwards. "We won't take long, promise."[ --- ] [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]
