Jesse slowly jogged through the meadow, he was making good time. Stopping suddenly for a second, his hand reached to the Pokeball attached to his waist. He had grown amazingly attached to the Sneasel that he so cleverly name Jack The Ripper even if he had only let it out of its ball once for training. Just the image of the red ball seemed to instill unfamiliar feelings of friendship.
Jesse decided to stop for a second to rest, if there rate continued they could be at the next gym in a day or two but Jesse wanted to catch some pokemon or at least battle. Turning his head he looked around for Pokemon, preferably a weak one to warm Jack up.

"Ladyba-baaaaaa~" A melodic buzz disrupted the air, its source a cheerful-looking Ladyba, who flitted above the main path of the prairie while seemingly unaware of her surroundings - including any of its inhabitants. Wings little more than a red-orange blur above her back, the insect preformed several acrobatic loops, swooped near the earth and unsettled a small cloud of loose dirt, as carefree as one could be, when she suddenly collided with something.
Such an impact hurled the poor Ladyba to the ground, yet the bug-type didn't seem irritated - instead, she uttered a curious coo, collecting herself up off the earth and rising back into the air. Blinking several times, her crash was revealed to be with a human male, who she now hovered before, while her large, circular eyes grew wide with child-like fascination. "Ladyba," she hummed for what seemed to be an apology, and awaited the human's reaction.
[ A Wild Ladyba collided with Jesse! ]She has apologized, what do you do?

Maybe to a kinder-hearted human her apology would have gone by well but not with Jesse. The impact of the Ladyba’s crash with Jesse had pushed him forwards making him lose his footing and although he had not fallen down- he was still obviously annoyed. Turning around- he was about to defend himself from whatever scum had decided to attack him but it was merely a Pokemon.
A smirk curled around the lips of the ruthless teen- pointing towards it, he gave his new Sneasel its first attack command. “Scratch attack.” Obliging almost instantly the Sneasel bounded off- although it had been somewhat rebellious when Jesse had met it, Jesse’s no-nonsense personality had seemed to calm it down. It realized that Jesse would make it stronger and he was extremely fond of that idea. Running closer to the Ladyba, the Sneasel jumped up claws out…

The Ladyba inhaled sharply when Jesse thrust his finger toward her, his sneer making an involuntarily shudder rack her body, already regretting letting herself run into him in the first place - her mother had always warned her about avoiding humans. 'No good heathens they are, will turn on you in an instant!' It was apparent another apology would be to no avail, what with the male already angry with her - however, the insect hadn't expected he would go so far as to actually sic his Sneasel companion on her.
"L-ladyba!" she cried, and shot skywards as fast as her reflexes would allow. Although, her foe proved just slightly faster; before she could get out of range, she felt a singing sensation on one of her six feet, peering downwards to see just a thin line of crimson appear against the white. "Ba!" The Ladyba gasped, shock and rage slowly forming within - she had hardly even done anything to deserve that! Rather than fleeing as she had originally intended, with an irritated buzz, she swiveled and divebombed for the Sneasel, preparing to Tackle him.

The Ladyba’s tackle managed to clip Sneasel on his shoulder. Crying out in pain, he held his shoulder. “Focus.” Although it winced in pain it immediately let go of it’s shoulder-it knew when to listen to Jesse. Jesse was somewhat impressed by the Ladyba- it was amazingly fast. Standing still as it breathed heavily, Ripper stared down the insect-Pokemon.
“Now Ripper- dive in the grass and use Leer.” Ripper began to exhibit its own speed as it quickly sidestepped and rolled into the Grass. Jesse’s plan was perfectly valid- Ripper would be able to hide within the grass while still leering at it. Two thin red flashes of light pierced the grass aimed at the Ladyba, they were staring at it and hopefully lowering its defenses. At the same time the effect was doubled by the fact that Ripper was constantly moving- hoping to not get hit by the Ladyba again.

Her attack proved partly successful - the beetle felt herself scrape the weasel's shoulder as she barreled past, which was enough to provoke a satisfied grin on her features. "Llllladyba," she snickered, turning in midair to find her opponent, however, was suddenly unable to locate the Sneasel - baffled on where he could of gone. "Ba?" Then, the Ladyba was overcome by the chilling sensation of someone watching her, and she glanced toward a patch of the thick, swaying prairie grasses, only to be caught in Ripper's deathly leer, its piercing qualities immediately affecting the bug; immobilized by intimidation.
Nevertheless, if not a little shakily, the Ladyba managed to shrug off the leer and once more dive at Ripper, hoping to Tackle him again - curse it being her only attack.

This time the tackle managed to hit Jack on the stomach- however the force of the attack was dropped down by the fact that the Ladyba cut through the tall stalks of grass to get to the tricky Sneasel. Breathing in, the Sneasel tried not to touch the growing bruise on his stomach. Despite the fact that Jesse had only had it for a few days it was remarkably well-trained.
“Move and use leer again.” Jesse said he was quite calm- he had managed to calculate everything. The Sneasel could take a few more hits before it was either unable to go on or would faint. If the leer attacks worked to their full extent he could leer once or twice more before returning to an attack mode. Ripper followed the instructions to a tee, moving in a zig-zag pattern so that he was now behind the Ladyba before his eyes began to glow an eerie red once more.
