Name: Brian Veter
Nickname: None
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Occupation: Team Diamond Recruit
Appearance: At 5 feet, 9 inches, he is rather short for his age. His dark blond hair is long, but not so long as impair his sight. He is not bulky at all, and is fairly skinny. He has jade green eyes that show no sign of emotion, especially sympathy. He wears long sleeve shirts with blue jeans that always seem to keep clean. His skin is very light, showing his limited exposure to the outdoors.
Personality: Raised around many Pokémon trainers, especially strong ones, Brian believes that the only Pokémon worth training are ones that are already strong. He never gloats over a victory, he thinks should win every battle. However, when a battle ends in a loss, he loses his temper, and starts to berate whichever one of his Pokémon caused the loss. He is very self centered and will knock anyone or anything down that gets in his way.
His goal in life is to make his strong Pokémon even stronger, and to show his dad that to win you must do anything you can. He is like a collector in that he catches every Pokémon he sees, but the battler side of him always wins over, and he'll release any Pokémon he deems unfit. He tries to be a little kind to his Pokemon, provided that they've won a recent battle. He doesn't have any favorite types, he likes all Pokémon that are strong.
History: Brian is the son of the leader of a training center in Kanto. His dad would battle trainers to get stronger, and to help them get stronger. Growing up Brian watched every battle and watched his father defeat many trainers, and then, in turn, get defeated many times as well. While watching the battles, he learned many strategies and what each attack was, and what it did. However, he never stayed around after the battles to hear the flowery speeches in which both trainers would say how it was their Pokémon who did all the work, ect. When he was 14 Brian started to tell his dad how he could win more matches, but his father never listened, saying that those methods were too brutal to be used in battle. Eventually Brian just gave up trying to tell his idiotic dad anything, and just left to become a better trainer that the entire Elite Four.
After that Brian went to start his own Pokémon journey. He went to Professor Oak's Lab and asked for the strongest Pokémon he had. The stupid Professor started to talk about how they strength of the Pokémon didn't matter, and it was the strength of the bond between trainer and Pokémon that mattered. Brian left after 30 seconds. Then Brian tried his luck in Johto at Professor Elm's lab. Once again Brian asked for the strongest Pokemon, but all that Elm gave him was a newly hatched Azuril. Brian later gave it to some random kid he saw walking down the street.
After that he traveled the region for a while, watching Pokémon battles, but never participating. He would sometimes give hints to the trainer with obviously more power, who would then crush his enemy. He took great joy in watching the weakling get crushed, and watching the strongest Pokémon prevail. Then he just became a vagabond looking for some place that was giving away Pokémon with at least a little power. One day he heard of a region called Lanorae, where there was supposedly an organization that gave fairly strong Pokémon to new trainers. Not caring about what the organization actually did, Brian decided that that's where he would go.
