So Liz is bored. Out of her mind. Not even really in the mood for roleplaying right now, but I'll fix that. Anyway, usually I try to entertain myself during my holidays by making a sprite comic. A lot of fun the first episode, but I kind of die down quickly because I never figure out a plot. They kill me. x__x
Still, I'm really excited about this new project I'm hoping to get on the road. There's little I have down about it, though; so far I've only decided on two characters; their looks, personalities, careers... And that's where I kind of die. I have no idea, for starters, to make a regular comic or go back to sprite comics. I'm currently trying my hand at the Pokémon Anime style or drawing, not with very much success I might add...
So this is not so much of an art thread in which I showcase my two lead characters, but also a thread in which I hope for some help and support from my fellow Lanoraeans. Characters, setting, plot... Every little bit of critique and comments are very, very welcome. ^^
&& them characters+ evelyn rayne ++ inspiration + rough sprite + sprite enlarged + Evelyn is going to be the main character, comparable to Ash sort of. Not personality-wise, of course. Evelyn is a nerd, to put it plainly, very much more comfortable surrounded by books rather than going out in the open. I was sort of thinking that maybe she can get forced to go on a journey to see how the real life is, or something like that. Eve is a kind, incredibly shy and timid young woman, very insecure about herself and always feeling the need to ask if she's doing something right. She can be rather fearless, however, mainly when her friends or someone else she cares for a lot gets in danger. She stays pretty reasonable and doesn't go jumping off cliffs, though. xD Evelyn wears glasses, because of the fact she's far-sighted, and dons her older brother's cap all the time; he's her big role model and she wants to be just like him. Originally from Dewford Town, Hoenn, Evelyn has a tiny obsession with exotic looking Pokémon like Bellossom, fish-like Pokémon like Gorebyss and Lumineon, and basically any other Grass-, Bug- and Water Pokémon.

It was close or Cassandra hadn't looked like she does now. Or acted like she does now. Originally I made an emo-like Trainer in the dress-up the inspirational pictures come from, but then I realized her outfit looked too much like Evelyn's, colour wise. So, I then changed all the black and gray to what I like to think to be their polar opposites; pink and white. Lots of it. And thus Cassandra was born. As you can almost tell just looking at the picture, Cassie is a real girly girl who gets excited about everything. She's incredibly naive, ditzy and kind of like your average fangirl; once she finds something she likes, there's no way you'll make Cass shut up about it. She's very bouncy and hyper, usually gets on Evie's nerves, and is just way too excited for her own good in general. Just don't cross her when she's angry; even when the slightest bit insulted, she flies into a rage and changes from a cute little Pokémon Trainer to a blood-thirsty harpy. No wonder she insists on collecting big, strong and semi-scary-looking Pokémon such as Ursaring, Gyarados, Magmortar, Steelix, etcetera.

HM. Well wot have we got here? LOOKS LIKE A JOB FOR AN ANDI. Now, where can we find one of those? XD
Well. Hm. Now, how did these two meet? Were they friends before, or did they meet on a route/in a city? If you have no clue, we can bounce some ideas off each other, of course. =D

Well actually, I became a little inspired after having a talk with my friend who, like me, is a closet Pokémon fan (Lol was I relieved when that turned out after he stole my Pokémon-filled sketchbook. xDD) I've done a script for about the first two pages, mainly introducing Evelyn. Now I think this requires some explainingzzz.
See, back in the day when I first started roleplaying Pokémon, Evelyn was my character. Or, well, me. She's kinda like the first form of Liz I use now. Something like that. Anyway, Evie had a big brother, Christopher, about six years or so older than Eve. He took off on a journey of his own when Eve was six and he never returned, which made Evelyn go on her own journey, in an effort to find him.
So I kind of reused that idea for the comic. Without really noticing it at first.
The idea for Cassandra is that she appears later in the comic, on a route or something. She looks all innocent, carries and Azurill around with her at all times, and got a Cyndaquil as her starter from the Professor. Seeing as this takes place in Johto (Which is where Chris went before Evelyn and her family lost contact with him.) Evelyn also has a Johto starter, Chikorita. But yeah, despite it being Johto Imma try to get some Hoenn and Sinnoh Pokes in there. For fun. And 'cause I like Toxicroak for Cassandra. ANYWAY.
The idea is to get a third travel buddy in there at some point, preferrably a guy, who is somehow linked to Chris' disappearance. Aaaaaaand that's about as far as I got. ^^;;

Hmmmm. Well then. Hey, I know! The guy could be Tamran! Well, do we have any idea how Christopher DID disappear? Was it Rocket involvement? Incident with one powerful Pokemon? Is he dead? Alive? Did he lose his memory? IS HE HELD HOSTAGE BY A CRAZY ARMY OF BURMIES? Or maybe it was something less-than-threatening, such as he's, ahhh... training in a dojo/gym/temple/deserted cave off the coast of Olivine City or something?
And by involved, how would you like this to be? Did he cause it, and he's really a bad guy? Or was he just there, and didn't mean for it to happen? I'm leaning towards the latter, personally.
