Well, I kinda get bored easily since I don't really have much to do, so I whipped up some fakemon sprites, I added shiny versions to because I know how much people love those sparkling balls of wonder^^ Hope everyone likes them^^ Normal Shiny This is the only Pokémon I actually gave a name to, since I'm bad with names. I call it Parasu, the Grass/ Bug Pokémon. I made this one from scratch. Male Female Shiny Shiny I actually made male and female sprites for all of them, but they only had minor diffrences so I didn't post them. This is the evolution of Parasu. I used the leaves from Chikorita and Bayleef sprites. Normal Shiny This one has no name, and it's a Fire/ Fighting type. I made it from scratch, yay^^ Normal Shiny This is the first evolution of the first Fire type. I used a Gallades body as a base, so nothing special Normal Shiny This is the second evolution of the first Fire type. I don't its eyes and the tan arm, I'll redo it later. Normal Shiny A Water/ Ice type Pokémon. I made a polar bear because when you think about it, Teddiursa and Ursaring are the only bear Pokémon so far. I made this one from scratch^^ I might post some more later if I'm not to lazy to make them.

Thanks, sorry I didn't reply, I almost forgot I had this thread lol. Anyways, I reshaded the first two Fire/Fighting Pokemon and redid about half of the third Fire/Fighting Pokemon.

... Ry, are you seriously commenting on the borders rather than, y'know, what he was actually trying to show? The new shading looks a lot better, though, and the third fire evo looks totally awesome now that you changed it up some. C:

Pretty good. Although on the first and second fire (starters?) The fire doesn't seem to be attached to the head. Almost like it is floating aside, or Behind. Other then that I'm really like them.

Huh, now that you mention it Reece, I do kinda see it, I might try and fix that a bit. I might also add evolutions to the polar bear^^

I reshaded and reshaped some of Parasu, and changed the color of its shiny sprite. I'm not done messing around with this sprite, but I am for now. Old Sprite New Sprite Old Shiny Sprite New Shiny Sprite

Loving the shading. ^^ Though perhaps a few more parts with black in the main line-art would be good? If you wanna keep them similar to the style of the normal Pokémon sprites in game.
Other than that, nothing more to say, these are awesome.
And interesting new shiny colors -- though I was rather fond of the golden Parasu. =P

Be careful not to overuse the hatch shading (also called dithering, but in case you don't know it by either name, it's basically the kind of shading where you make a checkerboard pattern). Generally the real sprites use it in extremely small amounts and very rarely for actual shading as opposed to creating texture. It's best used in very very small amounts and if you're using it frequently on a sprite it should be a sprite that needs it to portray the texture - usually furry or feathery.

Even though these are two of the furriest and featheriest Pokemon, even they don't use that much hatch shading, so just be careful to use it sparingly.

I agree that the sprite needs a few more black lines and that I shouldn't use dithering to much, but it's still kinda a work in progress^^
And I'm fond of the golden Parasu to, but the new shiny sprite is kinda like an experiment gone wrong kinda thing lol
