A Curious Discovery. We have recently received word that one Dr. Carter Brighveil, leading head of the research of water Pokemon, has made a miraculous discovery on his past voyage to the deep. From aboard the small submarine vessel, Sharpedo 1, he has recently transmitted a series of pictures regarding some very curious creatures indeed. This is the message that Dr. Brighveil sent along with these supposed photos:
"These Pokemon are very interesting subjects. While they have retained the same shape as most of their typical species save for possibly a few minute details, it seems their colouration has become strangely darker in the deep waters of the abyss. As you can see from the photos I have enclosed, many markings not native to their species can be seen as well, in addition to a luminescent quality.
I have never seen such drastic colouration differences, and the glimpses I did manage to get have been rare... I hope to keep all those at the research institute updated on my finds."
Unfortunately, the institution refused to release the photos Dr. Brighveil sent at this time, so we will have to wait and see what exactly was sighted deep below the ocean surface.
Monthly Weather Report Of course, with a new month also comes an updated weather report from our weather team and their partnered Castform! Now that June has set in, we can finally welcome the summer months! Expect plenty of warm air currents to move through the region, and with them also prepare for some heavy rainfall in some of the more tropical areas.
However, now that summer has set in, Ice Pokemon have become quite the rarity outside the more frigid areas of Lanorae. Even so, Fire, Bug, and Grass types are now thriving!
Upcoming Events The strange discovery that has been uncovered by Dr. Brighveil has certainly sparked a stirring curiosity! After all, Lanorae is still a relatively new region is most regards. Could this be evidence of a new Pokemon entirely?
Also, now that summer's present in the region, a lot more things may be coming around! Festivals, activities, and numerous other fun things are going to be about, so be on the look-out!
Attention Readers! We are very happy to have received so much input on our last issue! While we were slightly surprised at the amount of support for a bird mascot, we do see the sense in such things! Of course, while the lovely Lanore may have been quite a face for our paper, we have heard word that another establishment may be centering themselves behind her.
So don't worry, Lanore will get the recognition she truly deserves!
On that note, though, a little birdie told us -- pardon the pun -- that a new evolution line may have been discovered! These primarilt blue-and-white birds may be just the mascot we're looking for! While Professor Aspen and the other members of the head research team have not officially released the full stats of the new Pokemon, our sources have told us that it bears a resemblance to the blue jay. Quite fitting, wouldn't you agree?
Also, we are pleased to announce a new section that will be added to the Times! An editorial now needs to be filled, so any questions you may have please feel free to send us a letter and we will do our best to answer them!
Articles and reporters are still needed! Remember that folks! In addition, we may be moving to a new "host"! I think it's about time we stopped using our resident admin to send out our news, wouldn't you agree?
And thus another issue of the Lanorae Times has been concluded!

Lanorae;
I would be quite willing to fill out some of those 'empty spaces', as a reporter for articles, or typsetter of a sort. Since I'm not totally sure where to post this, I'll be posting it here, under our very own Lanorae Times! Contact me if you have anything else that you need to tell me, or other thoughts?
Umbreon, reporting for duty. ^^
