[/sup]Well, it seems I lost track of time for a bit in Konika Village... Ah, but I just can't complain! It might have taken a while to set my journey in motion, but the time here was definitely not wasted at all. I have arrived at Professor Aspen's laboratory -- and you wouldn't believe the luck I had!
Professor Aspen was absent, but there was a really nice (and handome) aide to help me with my starter~!
He was really nice, and he even had a Kangaskhan and a Totodile. I tried to feed the water type a poffin, but I guess he got too excited... And ended up biting both mine and Wade's (the assistant) hands. He cleaned the puncture wounds the bite left in my left hand, and I helped clean his, before administering a shot. I didn't liked it much, but I could see the point of getting it -- just in case, so no infections or diseases settled in.
After that he got three male Firecubs, and allowed me to see them before choosing. One was really lazy and liked to sleep a lot, and the other was terribly shy. But the one I chose really radiated confidence all over the place. He's so nice and friendly, and he even looks out for me! I'm glad he's so friendly, I wouldn't have liked it much if my first partner would have been mean and hold a grudge against me from day one.
I'll have plenty of time to meet and catch Pokemons with those natures on the roads... Though I do hope none of them ever hate me, /hate/ me.
