The Pokémon profiles are not nearly as strict as the actual character profiles are simply because you are given the Pokémon in the roleplay with a base personality and, of course, usually a gender. However, these 'profiles' let you take that base information to the next level. Mainly this is a source of character development you could say, because, though this is not necessary, Pokémon relationships and development are prone to get thrown to the backburner while the actual trainer is focused on. We can't have that now can we?
However, even this lax subject does have a few regulations to keep things going smoothly.
- First of all, either keep it to one thread per character, or seperate your characters somehow in one thread to prevent confusion. A good way of doing this would be to have your first post be a 'table of contents' with links to all the Pokémon further down in the thread, however, the layout of your thread is purely up to you. Just don't go making a seperate thread for each Pokémon.
- Please keep your Pokémon's histories (if you choose to include them) believable. True, Pokémon may have some experiences humans could never even dream of seeing, such as secret rituals among groups (the Bulbasaur evolution ceremony for example), however, most Pokémon, like trainers, have not seen legendaries, so don't say they did.
- You may notice that in some areas, mainly the adoption center in Trainer Square, Pokémon already have a skeleton of a history listed. If such a thing occurs, please try to correspond with that history. A Pokémon that was born and raised in the adoption center is not going to have experiences in Mistwood Forest.
- And of course, make sure you comply with the other rules of Lanorae referring to certain suggestive means. This is Pokémon after all, and we may very well have younger kids about!
If you need help with coming up with certain things to include with your indepth profiles, think along the lines of the following:
- Name and name meaning (if any)
- Gender
- Thoughts on their trainer
- Indepth personality
- History
Of course, those listed are only a basic skeleton of the possibilities! I do suggest, however, that you don't list their level unless you want to make sure this is kept updated as much as your actual profile is. Yes, a Pokemon's basic information is still required to remain updated on your characters' profiles, this is just a little extra thing. Remember that!
