Xx//Tales of A Grassy Melody//xX A whistle then, a hum. A figure slowly made it's way into the route known as the High Prairie. It was now 2:24 in the afternoon and after learning information on where to revive her fossil, receiving a Pokemon to call her own, and gaining some items to help her get to the next destination, a certain redhead was in a rather good mood. 'Wow... It really is much more beautiful than Orre would be any day...' the girl mused mentally, taking in the sights and sounds of the beautiful, practically untouched prairie.
Suddenly, a cool breeze whipped into the route, the salty smell of the nearby ocean reaching Kiara's nose, a smell she only experienced once before. The grass rustled, creating sounds pleasurable to the teen's ears, making her smile at the beauty of nature and it's powers. Sounds like this, she found, were almost nonexistent in her desert homeland save for some lush areas. Ending as suddenly as it began, the breeze died down leaving a somewhat stunned Kiara a bit disappointed.
Laying down in the soft lush grass, the memory of having a Pokemon made way into the teenager's head causing her to sit up again. Slowly and carefully taking the Pokeball containing her new companion out of her sweater pocket, Kiara examined the sphere before finally tossing the ball into the air. Appearing in a flash of bright white light was none other than a slightly confused and rather slender male Seaward. Tilting her head and giving a small smile the redhead patted her new companion's head.
"Hey Liron. I'm your new trainer, Kiara." she said, happiness clearly in her voice. The Seaward, Liron tilted his head and to Kiara's surprise, nuzzled her hand, making a rather pleasant humming sound in the process. "I see you're a rather musical one, now aren't you Liron?" the redhead giggled slightly as she petted the rather loving and friendly Pokemon, completely absorbed in her interaction. This certainly was not a good thing to do in the middle of a route full of wild Pokemon but this was a time for bondage and whether or not she was attacked was non of her concern in the moment.

The sun was beaming down onto Route One, it's glow seeming to fil every dark crevice or hidden nook, not a single sign of darkness was present. It was a near flawless day, the only imperfection was the knowledge that it would be over no sooner than it had begun. Time was funny that way.
The temperature was rising, and in the distance rumbles of thunder could be heard, an afternoon shower materializing within a few minutes, but still very far off. In the reaches of the pass was the fledgling trainer, a greenhorn if you will. She was with her first Pokemon, always special to any new trainer, as it was a symbol for the beginning of a journey that, for some, lasted a lifetime. An unforgettable adventure in the world of Lanorae. It was pretty fantastic when you began to really think about it.
Today in the pass, however, everything was quiet. It was time for the afternoon siestas of the bird Pokemon and the feeding time for everything that was on the flying-type menu. Bugs were present, seeming to come out of the woodwork and crawling around, looking for food before the predators awoke and were in need of a snack. Other species present were the many, weak normal types that wandered around most days, your average fair for the Prairie and surrounding forest. A gentle breeze blew in from Konika, but besides that nothing else could be heard, the onyl sight was weak Pokemon and swaying grass. [/sub]

The heat did not seem to bother the young trainer as she was very used to the extremely hot climate of the desert. What did catch Kiara's interest was the sound of thunder and sight of lightening, something she rarely experienced back in Orre. She watched the far off spring shower and sighed a somewhat sad sigh. 'How does such a good thing bring back such bad memories?' she mused, staring intently at the rainclouds as if she was expecting something more to happen.
A nudge. Then a rather worried sounding hum. Kiara looked down to find her beloved Liron looking worriedly at her with huge eyes. Forcing a smile, she patted the serpent's head, "Don't worry Liron. Every thing's fine." She lied. 'But now's not a time to be upset.' As if the sea serpent could read her mind, he nuzzled her knee in an attempt to cheer his trainer up. It worked. Kiara smiled an honest smile and got into a crouching position, looking the Seaward in the eye. 'At least I know Liron cares...'
Getting up from her crouching position and started scanning the area for any signs of life other than herself and Liron. Another pleasant breeze blew by, causing the grass to rustle. Not much other than passing breezes seemed to be going on and the sneaking around of frightened Pokemon.
Deciding to explore a little more of the grassy route, Kiara whisted, signaling to the Seaward that it was time to move on. Although there was a dirt path, both trainer and Pokemon treaded on into the grass in hopes of coming across any of the routes wild inhabitants. 'I wonder what kind of Pokemon live here...'

While most of the route was still silent and the afternoon sun was just reaching it's climax, one Pokemon stumbled through a certain patch of grass. He was rather clumsy, and after a filling lunch he was starting to become more and more tired by the second. Seemingly giving up his protection, the young Ledyba walked out onto the dirt path, the one well traveled by beginning trainers and seasoned fighter alike. Many a person has stomped the Route over the years, and it seemed to be the only imperfection in a sea of grass.
After wading out of the grass, the Pokemon was immediately startled by the Seaward. Seconds after a double shock hit when a human was standing right beside the unfamiliar Pokemon. With what sounded like a gasp, the Bug Pokemon jumped back into the grass. The long blades tickled the Pokemon's tiny nose, hindering his progress as he tried to escape.
The Ledyba seemed to be the only Pokemon that wasn't asleep on the Route, but maybe further on there would be a better Pokemon. But wouldn't getting to know a Bug-Type be valuable aid to a new trainer? [/sub]

Being a person who held a love for music, Kiara couldn't stand the overwhelming silence of the route and thus, began humming a random tune to which Liron quickly joined. Deciding walking in the grass was just as pointless as walking on the path-- only more tiring, Kiara and her Seaward eventually made their way over to the path and started walking on it, still humming the tune they were before.
Not long after trainer and Pokemon started using the path, did the two catch a glimpse of a rather shy Ledyba. Of course, they only caught a mere glimpse of the young bug as not long after he saw them, scurried back into the tall grasses. Although, the redhead immediately found the frightened bug Pokemon as it was the only red and yellow creature currently hiding in the grass.
"Hello there Ledyba. There's no need to be scared of Liron and I." the girl said with a gentle voice and genuine smile as she walked over to where the insect was. She bent down to make better eye contact with the Pokemon to show that she was of no harm.

[OOC] Due to thread inactivity I'm going to take control of the thread so it gets running again.
[BIC] : The Ledyba began to lose its grip a little, rolling onto its back as one would do to clutch their belly after a fulfilling meal. Despite being a rather peaceful creature, a simple chat with the girl was not to be on this bug's menu. Having eaten a load of Figy Berries, the Ledyba had managed to induce upon itself a status of semi confusion. Perhaps making it an easier catch though at the same time possibly more dangeous, this Ledyba was not in the mood for the ball and so readied for battle.
[!] You encountered a wild Pokemon! [!]Ledyba
