She had been about to leave, exiting the Profesor's lab with a bright orange Firecub walking besides her. The kitten purred loudly in pleasure, taking his time scanning everything in sight before keeping on walking. He was always on the look out, ears perked, though his body posture radiated confidence to everyone that looked at the Firecub. Clearly a natural born leader. The brunette giggled, scooping up the fire type into her arms and cuddling him fondly -- delighted as she felt him purr his life away in contentment.
"You're so wonderful, Lucem, I bet we're gonna be the best of friends!"
"Fiiirrrrrrrree, firrrrre!"
He purred once more, before leaping back to the ground, his gaze suddenly focused on the white bandages that covered the girl's left hand with a questioning glance. "Mmm? Oh, don't worry -- it was an accident. I was careless, that's all." He flickered his flaming tail slightly, clearly displeased, before dropping the subject. Lucem did make a mental note to himself: he'd have to watch out for Rizu so no further accidents happened. The hand smelled to some Pokemon scent, one that had ben lingering around in the lab, so the cub could tell said accident involved someone else -- he just didn't knew who or what.
"Come on, Lucem, let's take one last look around before we leave for the first road, alright?!"
"Fire, firecub."
Her excitement and happiness was contagious, and the Firecub couldn't bring himself to deny his new mistress' wish -- plus he also wanted to take one last look around the town he had been born into and called home before leaving in an adventure. He walked besides the twenty-one year old as she kept walking down the path, oohing and awing at this and that all around as she went.
For an adult of the human specie, she reminded him a lot to the cubs he used to play with when younger. The fire feline silently chuckled to himself, before continuing to tag along.
He was glad she had chosen him.
