Molly Now your head is spinnin', broken hearts will mend This is our beginning comin' to an end Molly had been meandering about through Konika Village, having only just arrived in the region of Lanorae a few moments ago. It was a small, sleepy little town, much to her delight. She sighed wistfully, taking a deep breath and catching the scent of the sea. The adolescent couldn't help but grin to herself; this place was so peaceful and calm, unlike Olivine and it's rowdy sailors.
As she continued to explore the town, she came upon a rather large structure that couldn't have been anything else but a Pokémon laboratory. Molly felt excitement surge through her as she stood before the complex. For two years now, she had saved and earned money to start her own Pokémon journey, but her dreams had to be put on the backburner because of some family emergency. Oh how she wanted a Pokémon so bad! Suddenly, a though occurred to her, 'Weeeell, it's probably quite some distance from here to Purity Valley, I might as well grab myself a Pokémon for protection, right? Besides, Papa didn't say that I couldn't get myself a Pokémon while I was here' . And so, Molly found herself walking up to the wooden steps, and gently opened the double doors to feel a rush of warm air blast her in the face. When she slipped quietly into the building, she began to tak a look around her surroundings; The lab itself was rather pristine, and well kept up, just the image Molly always had of such a laboratory. Plain white walls were decorated with beautifully and carefully drawn sketches of Pokemon, and Molly found herself giggling at one that appeared to be a Zigzagoon chasing it's own tail. The adolescent suddenly remembered what she had come fore, and she somewhat quietly called, "Yo, anyone home?". [/blockquote]

Pokemon fed? Check. Lab reports finished? Check. Denny under control and under a watchful gaze? Check, check, check!
With a small sigh, Jaquelyn Skidd plopped down in her chair. For once, she was bored at work. Prior to this, she had been new, and everything took her a while to do, which meant no downtime. At one point, she resented it; at another, she loved it. Now? Well... it's not that she wanted to do more work, but she needed something to preoccupy herself... And with her troublesome Linoone, Denny, curled up and asleep, there was honestly no one to talk to and nothing to do. Midlessly, she began to search through her desk drawer... Papers, papers, papers, a pen or two, a hair tie, a couple bobby pins, her extra set of glasses... Hmmm... "Aha!"
Triumphantly, the aide pulled out a small plastic bag of rubber bands. These were always good for mindless fun! And, with that, Jaquelyn tore open the bag with a single filed nail and began tying the rubber bands together. Ohhh, if only her Pokemon Trainer father could see her now... He'd be so disappointed. Ah well, can't please everyone!
"Yo, anyone home?"
The young woman nearly jumped a foot in the air at Molly's call, being wrapped up in her little project. Blinking, she looked between the rubber bands and the hallway leading to the lobby in confusion before regaining herself and heading down to meet Molly. Right. Trainers were priorities. Upon walking in, the aide waved and gave Molly a cheerful grin.
"Hey there! My name's Jacquelyn Skidd. I'm one of Professor Aspen's aides. She's not here right now, but I'll be glad to help you with whatever you need. And you are...?"

Molly Now your head is spinnin', broken hearts will mend This is our beginning comin' to an end The young teen waited somewhat anxiously in the lobby, and was nearly certain she could hear faint footsteps from somewhere within the lab. This was somewhat reassuring, because this meant Molly obviously wasn't alone and that she wouldn't have to keep standing around like an idiot. And sure enough, Molly saw a woman approach from down the hallway nearby. Molly thought that this woman was sort of young to be an aide in a lab. Weren't young adults supposed to take up more exciting trades? That was the impression Molly always got, but she turned her thoughts once more to the situation at hand.
"Hey there! My name's Jacquelyn Skidd. I'm one of Professor Aspen's aides. She's not here right now, but I'll be glad to help you with whatever you need. And you are...?" This aide, Jacquelyn Skidd, seemed to be rather friendly. In spite of herself, Molly felt a smile form as she replied, "My name is Molly Emerson. I'm here for my, uh, Pokémon." It suddenly occurred to Molly that there were probably bunches of others that probably came to the lab for the sole purpose for attaining a Pokémon. Surely handing out free Pokémon to aspiring trainers would get rather boring after a while. [/blockquote]

Jacquelyn giggled slightly. Molly seemed nervous, which was almost cute in the young teenager. "Not a problem," the aide assured her. After all, it was her job to help others in the place of Aspen. She had nothing to complain about, either. Each new trainer was different, causing the situations to be varied and interesting! This girl seemed a little generic, however, in the sense that she wasn't abnormally pretty or had some significant feature about her. It was different. It was nice. It was a lot less confusing, that was for sure!
"Have you put thought into what Pokemon you might like?" Jacquelyn asked kindly, leaning on a desk behind her. "We've got any Pokemon you might imagine, provided that it's commonly found. You know, no Eevees, Dratinis, yadda yadda yadda." The aide's eyes rolled slightly at that. Too many times she had been asked for one of those... "We also have starters native to the region: Firecub, Iglora, and Seaward. Each have their own charm. Orrr, if you want to leave it up to chance, you can take one of our Pokemon eggs! I'll do my best to pick one that will hatch before you leave here. Not just so you're prepared, but I love seeing what comes out!" The aide giggled again, clearly excited to be doing her job. "So what'll it be, Miss Emerson?"
