Name: Rennatta Valeri Jackson
Nickname
Age: Sixteen
Gender: Female
Occupation: Trainer
Appearance:
Physical Appearance: Petite and small, Renatta gives off the impression of someone very soft, not used to arduous labor or journeying around the countryside. This look of hers makes her appear physically weak, and quite breakable. A small, round head relays into a slim, swan like neck, thick breasts clumped at the base of this. Her shoulders are skinny and held slumped in bad posture, the curved of her back leading to a plump bottom. Beneath her breasts is a flat stomach the bloats out just a teensy bit at her waistline, revealing her most prominent feature-- thick, "child-bearing" hips and fat thighs that slim immensely at her calf and ankle. Her feet, as well as her hands, are tiny and soft, appearing slightly off compared to the rest of her plump body. Fingers and toes are long and slender, nails filed evenly but not painted.
Skin Tone: Rennatta's skin is thin and light, a result from having both red hair and blue eyes. It's soft and smooth, covered with a thin layer of blond hair on the average areas, and can be pierced quite easily. A mess of pale brown freckles stretches over the top of her cheeks and the bridge of her nose.
Facial Features: Her face had lost little childhood roundness. It's very round, her small, stubborn chin barely visible, and her cheeks very round. The girl's lips are oddly proportioned, the top being a bit slim, and the bottom thick; they're colored a pale pink nicely. Her nose could be labeled as over sized, long and straight, but a bit on the big side.
Eyes: Rennatta's eyes are large, shaded by naturally long, curled eyelashes that brush lightly against her cheeks whenever she blinks, which is something she does quite rarely. Her eyelashes are pale, red-orange, lighter and blond at the very tips, as are her thin, neatly etched eyebrows. Her pupils are abnormally large, standing in contrast against the pale blue backdrop that is her irises. She is completely blind in her left eye, a birth defect, so it is covered in an unattractive grayish film.
Hair: Rennatta's hair, amazingly, is completely, 100% natural. It's a bright, almost "rusty" red color, pale orange in some places. It falls to below her shoulder-blades, thick and wavy. It's uneven in most places, the result of a failed bob a few years earlier, and is always smooth and shimmering. She dotes upon her hair. Her bangs are thick and voluminous in comparison, swept over her left eye to hide the simple fact that she is, indeed, blinded on that side.
Clothing Of Choice: Rennatta wears a simple black and red horizontally striped spaghetti tank-top that accentuates her pale skin tone. Over the tank is a hooded jacket that cuts off at the midsection of her stomach. The top half is black, the bottom red, and the sleeves are striped black and red the same as her top. A pair of black jeans adorn her bottom half, the knee ripped on the right leg. They fit tightly, but are amazingly comfortable. She wears a bright red belt to hold them on her plump hips. Simple black tennis-shoes with white soles and red strings cover her small feet. They're old and worn, perfect for traveling, and fit snuggly. On her head, Rennatta has chosen a simple black and red striped beanie. It fits perfectly, her hair cascading down her back from it and her bangs poking out thickly in the front.
Personality: Perpetual glee is a disease that Rennatta openly suffers from. Said disease does not permit her to label it as a disease, and it's more like a companionable co-habitation in their body that they share. Eternal happiness may really get to some people, but Rennatta, ecstatic to the core about most anything, would have to disagree that being happy is a weakness, a downfall. It takes a lot to get this girl down, even when it comes to tense subjects such as death, loneliness, insanity. Forever the optimist, she's always fumbling around in a blind stupor, regarding everything and everyone in her world with a smile, a hug, a friendly peck.
You could easily slander her as naive, and you wouldn't be far from the truth. Rennatta, despite her childish antics, recognizes darkness. She sees the evil in people, the rotten, the bad; but it doesn't change a thing. She regards them all the same. She takes no note of said evil, and this had often led to her being used and walked all over.
Rennatta is very much like a child, growing up completely sheltered and never properly developing the part of her brain that recognizes consequences. She has no sense of direction whatsoever, leading others to cast her off as simply a ditz. However, there is more to Rennatta then meets the eye, you just have to be able to delve deep enough underneath her thick skin to notice it.
The one aspect of her nature that isn't so kind is her temper. It takes a lot to anger Rennatta, but once angered, you will be groveling at her feet. She goes directly to what hurts you the most, attacking you with harsh words, but only speaking the worse, spitting your own awful aspects at you in the heat of her blinding rage. She rarely resorts to physical violence, but let's just say she can be quite a scrapper. This doesn't nescessarily mean she has much strength, or that she has won the few fights she's been in, but mostly means that she throws an immense fit worthy of any royal brat.
She gets attached to people very quickly, becoming clingy and obsessive anytime she makes a new "friend". Rennatta can't help but be thrilled whenever she gets close to someone, or, occasionally, something. She likes to think that her life is filled to the brim with friends. On a normal basis, said friends slowly fade away, because it's kind of hard to be around a perpetual ray of sunshine, and she's just way to eager to give hugs.
History: Bred and born in Vermillion city, Rennatta endured an extremely sheltered childhood. She knew little of the world outside of her own doorstep, for she was often shut indoors with her paranoia-ridden, recluse mother. Her parents had never actually been together together. They had many sexual relations throughout their teen and early adult years, though never thought of the other more than a pawn for pleasure.
Near the end of this odd, troublesome "relationship", Rennatta's mother found herself to be pregnant with a child she very much didn't want.
Despite her mother's disgust to find another creature living within her body, her father was overjoyed. He resumed his visits to the girl's mother, coming not only once, but occasionally twice a day to check up on her. Rennatta's mother was an odd one-- anti-social and moody, often sad for no reason, probably some mild hormone imbalance in the brain causing this, or something of the sort. But her father? He was a right gentleman, a hard-working fellow who wanted nothing more then to be a daddy. Now, he was getting his chance, but with a woman who was on the verge of loathing him.
Rennatta was born in the month of August, on the twenty-fourth day, and her father immediately wanted to sweep her away, rescue her from her shut away mother. But Rennatta's moth simply would not have it. those baby's blue eyes were beautiful, and something that had not been moved inside of her for many years jumped to its feet-- or paws, perhaps?-- and she wanted nothing more then that little girl. Whether she could care for her properly or not, Rennatta was what she wanted, and what she would get. Because she always got what she wanted.
The man had no choice in the matter, truly. He couldn't take a child from its mother, even if it had leaped from his loins. He could only watch as Rennatta grew, visiting her daily, bringing her trinkets from the surrounding city and weaving her tales of Pokémon and trainers.
Rennatta began to believe there were no real Pokémon. On her trips to he supermarket with mother, or to the clothing store, she saw none, believe it or not. She told this to her father, in tears, wailing about his lies and about how much she wanted to just see a Pokémon.
The next day her father came, he brought an old, decrepit Houndoom with him, and Rennatta immediately fell in love. Her mother hated the dusty old creature, and often tried to shoo him out the door, but Rennatta would burst into tears and throw fits as though she were about to herself be flung from the door. She had named him Charlie, and Charlie would stay, because just as her mother before her, Rennatta got what she wanted.
But Pokemon, just as people, die eventually, and Charlie didn't last more then a few years. But he left a mark on Rennatta.
Besides being bubbly and childish, bouncing around like she was filled to the brim with helium, Rennatta has a deep passion burning in her belly. That passion would be Pokémon. Fire-types, to be exact. Rennatta has always yearned for a fire-type of her own. As a human, she had the inability to control the wild grace that was a flame, but fire-type Pokémon made it look so easy. A fire was like a living creature, unpredictable and unrelenting, and Rennatta loved nothing more then to play with fire.
You could easily say that's what she was doing when she went to her mother with the request to become a Pokémon trainer. She knew what result she would get; her mother had screeched at her for nearly an hour, and before Rennatta could burst into tears, she'd begun to scream back. The fight had developed into the two of them throwing whatever item they could get their hands on at the other, always missing, occasionally bursting out in tears. Rennatta claimed to have every right to follow a normal girl's path in life. Her mother battled with the fact that it wasn't normal at all, that Pokémon were dirty perversions of nature.
The next time her Father came to visit, Rennatta left with him, and begged him to let her go off on her own adventure. He couldn't say no to his child. He shipped her off to a faraway region with the cash he'd been saving for her and the clothes on her back, sending her by a not-so-fancy little boat. She became familiar with not only the sea, but sea sickness on that adventure. Yet, Rennatta vowed to one day return and apologize to her mother.
But by now, she's already forgotten about that last part.
