From what the records show, he is quite a bit under weight, but that doesn't bother him all that much. His natural hair color is snow white, but because of disliking having premature white hair, Zuk dyes his hair black. His eyes have a light amber coloration, giving him an almost yellow set of eyes. Zuk usually wears just about anything, from jackets to sleeveless shirts. He does have to wear small, almost unnoticeable set of hearing aids, since he has horrible hearing pertaining to a childhood accident.
[currently no image]|personality description|Zuk isn't exactly the sociable type of person. He would rather be alone than with others, but this doesn't mean that he can't enjoy himself around others. Zuk is reserved, meaning that he hardly expresses any of his emotions and bottles them up inside. Occasionally, he will contradict this, mainly because he can't hold in his emotions forever. Zuk has a hard time making friends, but when he does, he will do what he can to help them out if the situation ever called for it.
Everything pertaining Pokémon are seen differently to Zuk. He does not see them as just animals or for enjoyment, but visions them as creatures that are equal to himself and everyone else in almost every way. His favorite types of Pokémon are Dark, Ghost, and Dragon, but that doesn't mean much, since Zuk doesn't choose favorites. The young man hates watching Pokémon forced to do something that they have no intention of doing and will do everything possible to help the Pokémon.historical information|early childhood|The earliest memories that I can recall are the ones of Blackthorn City and it's tranquil setting within the mountains. I didn't grow up around many people, since the population of the city wasn't very high. I would have probably enjoyed this, if I weren't an orphan. I never really knew my parents; actually to tell you the truth, I don't know who my parents are. I don't know why they weren't there for me. I was forced into a confined orphanage practically hidden away from view. I suppose the only worthwhile moment in my childhood was when I wandered away from the orphanage. I wasn't exactly gifted with coordination, so I easily got lost. I tried to follow the roads, but I was lead to a cave rather than the orphanage. I proceeded onward into the cave with curiosity. As predicted, I easily got lost within the cave as well. As I wandered throughout the cave, trying to find my way out, I began to start shaking heavily, from the low temperatures throughout the cave. To obtain warmth, I began to cuddle onto the ground, gripping onto my jacket tightly which I luckily had. I fell asleep in that very position that night, lost and all alone.
I awoke to the sudden shatter of ice that fell from the ceiling. What I saw hanging onto the ceiling was unbelievable and unreal. I spotted literally hundreds of Zubat and Golbat, clinging onto the ceiling, with all of their heads facing toward me. When they noticed that I was awake, they began to scramble from where they hung, scattering seemingly everywhere. They began to hit me as they proceeded with this, giving me large cuts and bruises. I began crying and cuddled up into a ball once more, not knowing what else to do in this type of situation. After what seemed like an eternity, loud screeching sounds were being emitted from all directions. I quickly tried to cover my ears, but the screeches crawled through my hands and into my ears. All of the obnoxious sounds struck my ears, causing them to ache and even bleed. Suddenly, with no apparent reason, all of the deafening screeches stopped. I didn't understand this. There had to have been a reason for the noises to stop, but what could it have been? I slowly lifted myself up to behold what had happened.
All of the Zubat and Golbat that flew around the room, appearing as if they had all fallen straight to the ground for a reason I didn't quite understand at the time. I carefully observed every Pokémon that fell, noticing they were all fast asleep. This confused me, but I was to petrified from earlier to move. After a few minutes, I spotted it. A brown colored owl-like Pokémon, breathing heavily nearby a few of the other fallen Pokémon. I stared at it, my mind racing with many questions, such as "Did it take down all of them?" After this, I suddenly realized that I heard a slight ringing in my ears. I couldn't hear the dark Pokémon breath, only moving, and I could barely even hear myself breathing. What happened to me?
I finally got the courage to slowly lift myself off of the ground, using the wall behind me for support. It was hard to move. I didn't even know the last time I had eaten, I don't even know how long I've even been in this horrible cave. I paced myself toward the Pokemon, having a hard time to lift one foot after the next. As I approached it, the Pokémon quickly turned its head toward me, probably curious of who I was. When I saw its face, I knew exactly what type of Pokémon it was. A Hoothoot. This one looked rather different from an average one though. It owned a pair of gold eyes that seemed to pierce straight through my soul. I was very curious why one was one doing out here near Blackthorn City, I thought they only lived more closer toward New Bark Town. I creeped my way closer toward the Pokemon, wondering what it was going to do next. It just kept its eyes on me, though it didn't look like it was hostile towards me for some reason.
I didn't exactly know what to do at that moment, so I just sat down next to it. I was getting pretty sleepy, but I didn't want to doze off quite yet. "So why are you here?" I asked the Hoothoot.|early teenage years|I continued to grow up at the orphanage, along with my partner Escent, the Hoothoot I met years ago. The orphanage allowed me to live with the Hoothoot, as long as I took care of him. I still had problems adjusting to hearing aids here now and again. Anyways, I began to formulate a dream of becoming a Pokémon Trainer, and possibly even the Gym Leader of Blackthorn City. The city was more populated then it used to be and more traveling trainers began to arrive. This gave me the chance to practice on battling, though the only Pokémon I had was Escent, but I viewed him more as a partner, especially since he saved me long ago.
Life seemed to be better than during my more earlier years, but something always seemed to be missing. I didn't know it at that time, but that void would soon be filled. A young traveling Pokémon Breeder by the name of Sato Abant arrived to the city, planning on staying there for quite awhile. He took notice to me when he got here, though that was probably because there weren't many children around these parts, and especially not that many with an interest in Pokémon. He showed me something new just about everyday, from Pokémon having specific types straight to things such as move sets.
We quickly became close friends, but he was only going to stay in town for awhile longer. The day before he left, he asked me if I would like to go with him. This is when I told him about me being an orphan and could not leave this area unless I had a parents approval, let alone a guardians. What happened next was unexpected. He went to the orphanage and signed some of the adoption papers that pertained to me. I was shocked and happy about this, especially since I could finally go out and see the world.
Months passed; Sato and I traveled to many places, such as Goldenrod City, Cianwood City, and even parts of the Kanto Region. I continued to train with being a Pokémon Trainer, but as time passed, I slowly got interested into what Sato did, which was breeding. I saw that two of the same Pokémon could be completely different, having a different coloration of coat than normal, and basically everything else that involved breeding. While we traveled from place to place, I became more knowledgeable, and not just in Pokémon.
As I became older, I became more independent, and even began to start breeding Pokémon of my own. I breed many Pokemon, though none of them were actually mine. Me and Sato took care of other peoples' Pokémon as well as our own. We even developed the reputation of being the "Traveling Day-Care". I might have started breeding, but I still felt a thrill each time I battled with Salient.|late teenage years|A few years passed and I finally became ready to travel by myself. It was sad to leave Sato, but I felt restrained to him, and we both knew it would be better if we went our own ways. I continued to travel through Japan, visiting many locations such as the Hoenn, Sinnoh, and even the Orange Islands. I even got to ferry out of country, though I had to get my passport first. I've seen parts of Italy and their unique Pokémon all the way to Australia and their well adapted Pokémon.
Throughout my travels, I began to hear rumors of a region out there that relied on steam power. This raised my curiosity and I even decided to look it up. I learned that the region was named Lanorae, but I actually never found out its exact location, though I did want to go there. I took a ferry there, but even though I got there, I still didn't know exactly where it was located. Well, I suppose I better take a look around this place now.
