You must have received your starter before you may begin roleplaying in one of the liquid time areas, like Trainer Square, though this doesn't apply to threads in the region.FLY AWAY IN A HOT AIR BALLOON
The way threads and traveling works in the Lanorae region is a bit more relaxed than most other forums. Due to how many limitations are placed upon actually advancing a journey when a staff member becomes busy and cannot get to threads to effectively mod them, our system is much less reliant on constant roleplaying with a staff member.
Instead, the Lanorae region is much more focused on interacting with other members, so don't be afraid to get out there and start plots up!--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
TRAVEL
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just to touch on this subject, you do not need to follow any set path when it comes to your journey. Ports and other means of transportation are available to take you from one part of the region to another. In addition, it is not necessary to visit every route or city unless your occupation or wanting leads you there, so you can customize your journey as you see fit. Obviously, if a travel path leads through a city you need to at least pass through it, but that's not always the case.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THREADS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A unique system in the Lanorae region is that threads essentially run on liquid time as long as they are in the same area. This means that if you're in Purity Valley, for example, you may have as many threads as you want as long as they are in Purity Valley. These are primarily interaction threads, though you can request a mod if needed.
Instead, you have a single journey thread, which basically designates how far along you actually are, which is the main thread mods will be replying to and they must be marked with some sort of designation that they are a journey thread in the title (such as putting [JOURNEY] or something similar). Your journey thread also is what determines where you may make open threads. For instance, if you're in Purity Valley in your journey thread, you can make as many threads in Purity Valley as you want (provided they take place at different times in the roleplay), however, once you move on to the next route in your journey thread, you may continue your current open threads, but you may not make any new threads in Purity Valley. In addition, there are various liquid time areas in places like Trainer Square, where they are completely liquid time and you can post in them no matter where you are in your journey. Generally, Trainer Square and organization headquarters are areas like this.
Though, there are a few little regulations, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.
II. While you are permitted to have more than one active thread, please make sure you don't overdo it. For instance, if you have one thread in a sub-area of Trainer Square, and three in one of the ranger sub-boards, make sure they remain active.[/ul] There are still certain situations that require a mod, however. These involve, but are not limited to, wild Pokemon, gym leaders, NPC trainers, and likewise. If you are looking to be modded for a major event (such as a gym leader battle), just get the staff member's attention about what you want to do, and they will enter that thread for that purpose. Staff members may also randomly enter a thread with a wild Pokemon, NPC, or event just to keep you on your toes. However, this also means you may roleplay with several different mods in one thread, not just one.
However, many things are encouraged to be done by a member's own decision. For instance, battles between two member controlled characters are encouraged, just alert a staff member to give out experience at the end of it.
You may only request a mod for ONE thread at a time. Mods may make random appearances in all your active threads, but actual requests are limited. This means that a mod may appear with an NPC Syndicate member in your Syndicate thread even if you requested one for a wild Pokemon in your journey, you never really know. However, generating experience points for a battle doesn't count for this limit, and most of the time experience point posts do not require actually roleplaying on the part of the mod.

LIQUID TIME AND EXPERIENCE

LIQUID TIME AND EXPERIENCE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Because it is possible for a Pokémon to evolve in one thread but be in its previous form in another (hopefully these situations will be rare, but they are still possible), experience gain will always be based on what the most current level and form is. Most likely this will be the case where the stadium or another training facility was used.
To give an example, say in one thread your Charmander evolved into a Charmeleon, so it's on level sixteen, but in another thread it's still level ten. If it gains experience in the thread it's still level ten in, it's experience gain will still be treated as if it was level sixteen, and on your character profile you should add the experience to your level sixteen Charmeleon.
Also, unless the Pokémon learns an attack/evolves in the thread in question, the Pokémon will have the same stage and move set for that thread. This is to prevent compulsive evolution and such. Remember that if your Pokemon evolves in one thread, the next thread you make, be it an open thread or a journey one, should have the evolved Pokemon.
Please, if you have any questions don't hesitate to PM one of the staff for clarification. This is a new concept, so it will take some getting used to.[/blockquote]
