Evening time, not the time most would see travellers walking down beaten paths, but for Stefen the evening made travelling that much nicer. The sun was just about past the horizon, painting the sky a plethora of reds, oranges and blue.
Pausing to look up at the sky, the colours reminded him of his new pokemon, Kesse, his Growlithe. 'I should probably let him out for a while' Stefen thought as he fished out the firey canine's pokeball. Stefen had of course let his pokemon out plenty of times, so it could used to it's new trainer.
Stefen was pleasantly surprised to find out Kesse had a slightly lazy personality if he wasn't doing anything, much like Stefen himself. Upon taking the ball out, Stefen opted to not throw the ball, but to press the release button on the front, why some trainers did the whole 'dramatic throw' thing never made much sense to him.
When Kesse had materialised out from his pokeball, he barked happily and padded up to his trainer, bright eyed and bushy tailed. Smiling softly at his first partner's eagerness, Stefen kneeled down next to Kesse and scratched his ears a bit.
"Hey there boy, just wanted to let you out for a while, figured you'd like to walk with me rather then be cooped up in there eh?" Stefen said in his usual soft, quiet, almost airy voice. Getting his reply in a long burst of happy barks and growls, Stefen laughed before rising to his feet and began walking.
"Well, I'll take that as a 'yeah definatly' then" he said. For a short while, Stefen and Kesse were walking silently down the ever darkening path, Kesse darting around looking at everything with Stefen looking on in amusement.
'Only started and it's already fun, can't imagine how it'll get when I have a full team' Stefen thought fondly as Kesse padded back to walk by his trainer's side.
