Name: Telmer Fayre
Nickname: Fame
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Occupation: Aspiring Trainer, Acrobatics
Appearance: Telmer is a boy that isn’t your ordinary cliché case. He could be slightly attractive if he wouldn’t look so lost all the time, and groom his hair. His face is round, with a masculine jaw. His skin is tanned, with a lively glow. The hair that is mentioned above, is messy, but is naturally split in the middle. It is colored so black that it looks a little blue. His facial expression is pretty lost, and he wanders off in thought more than usual. Therefore, he looks like he doesn’t pay attention to anything.
Telmer’s body is slim, making him able to get in most places. However, he isn’t your average “slim weirdo”; he is slightly muscular too, due to his interest in acrobatics. He stands 175cm over the ground, which is a pretty average height.
Telmer usually dresses… well, usual. He wears denim pants or shorts, often the unbleached kind. Therefore, he wears dark pants, if you want it simple. He wears white or very light colored t-shirts under an open, collared shirt, with stripes or other normal patterns. His shoes are black and white. If it is cold or wet outside, he puts on his jacket. It is black, white and orange, the lighter color on top. The jacket is colored by splitting it into three horizontally and coloring them white, orange and black.
Personality: Telmer has a very comfortable and easy personality. He acts neutral, not taking parties and… well, avoiding social risks. Therefore, he seldom gets on other people’s bad side. The problem is he doesn’t get on people’s good side either. So, in terms of other people, Telmer is pretty antisocial.
When it comes to problems, Telmer is a solver. He isn’t easily stopped by obstacles and such. He has the handy ability to think “outside the box”. Also, since he is quite acrobatic, no physical obstacles tend to stop him either. His obstacles may be social obstacles. How to introduce himself, how to react on other people. That kind of thing. So, Telmer is not unstoppable. He is just good at things normal people would have called problems.
Telmer is a thinker. A free thinker, in fact. Therefore, he comes to conclusions that others don’t see as an option. Because of his solver-abilities, this also comes in handy. He faces a problem, thinks of an answer and does it. Simple, yet complicated. Not a typical conclusion for Telmer.
Then the question pops up: “How does he feel about Pokémon?” Typical, cliché. He loves Pokémon. Telmer Fayre adores Pokémon. In fact, he is about to start an adventure with Pokémon. You see, Telmer is very antisocial towards humans, as I explained earlier. Well, towards Pokémon, he is the complete opposite. The reason? Well, they can’t talk, yet they can express themselves. So, they are perfect listeners. Especially for Telmer, as he likes to think out loud. And he thinks A LOT. Therefore, Telmer wants to befriend Pokémon. He knows it’s irregular. Most of us tend to just catch them. Yes, he catches the Pokémon he wants. He takes them to the pokecenter to heal. And then, he lets them choose. Telmer or freedom. In conclusive, Telmer sympathizes more with Pokémon than humans. Original and weird, yes?
History: Telmer Fayre was born on a little island. It was in fact called “Fayre Island”. Since ancient times, the Fayre family had lived there, and made a living. No problems out of the normal. They farmed vegetables and fruits. They ate fish. It was a simple life. More importantly, an unsocial life. There were no Pokémon on the lovely island either.
Telmer worked as the other members of the family. You know the deal. He was the oldest of 5 siblings. Three sisters and one younger brother. They lived and ideal life together. For Telmer, Fayre island was the center of the world. But one day he came to know that another world existed. Technology, social life, education. So many things he had missed. Telmer Fayre became mad. And bored. He thought drastical thoughts…
And on his 13th birthday, he followed his heart, and sailed away. He knew that he would miss his family, but he didn’t want to waste his life.
After many days of sailing, he made it to the coast of Lanorae. The land was almost deserted, only one cabin standing. It was a lumber cabin, with an old man living there. He had previously been a lumberjack, but now he had retired. He owned a Scyther, the first Pokémon Telmer saw. He thought it was amazing. Yes, never had he seen anything so powerful and majestic. He quickly became friends with the old lumberjack, Reymer, and his Scyther. He lived in the cabin for some years, learning about Pokémon by himself. Reymer taught him the basics, and Telmer himself discovered the rest. It was a utopian life. But one day, Telmer made up his mind. He was going to be a trainer. He said his goodbyes and left. For Konika village and prof. Aspen. To receive a Pokémon.
