"We are now arriving to Lanorae Region, Konika Village. We hope you had a pleasant time, please come again soon."
As the speakers flared for a moment, then went silent again, a blond girl let out a sigh of relief as she could see the port coming closer and closer. A hand wrapped around a white and pink device, her grip tightened, before she flipped the cellphone over and made a call.
*ring* *ring* *ring*
"You have reached the Blanche's Mansion, butler James is currently speaking. How may I he-" "James?! What kind of crude joke was this, huh?! This "cruise" took five hours to get close to the port. Five hours, James, FIVE!!!" "Ah?! Miss Blanche, I swear, it is no joke at all... This is the fastest ship there was available heading to Lanor-" "I do not care for excuses, James! You told me I would get there in a moment, it has been five hours! I am tired, I am hungry (the food here sucks, too) and I am sick and tired of this salty scent of the Ayatie Sea!" "Yes, yes, terribly sorry for that Madame!! It will not happen aga-" "My daddy could have gotten me here in one hour with his jet boat! You are lucky he is currently absent in a business trip, or you would already be on the streets begin for pocket change!" "Yes... I understand little Miss Blanc-" "Zip it! Make sure this never happens again, James!" "Erm... Yes, little Miss Blanche, we are all very fortunate for your mercy..." *click* "Hmph! Useless butlers and servants... And this boat better stop soon! It is time to get my Pokemon already!"
As soon as the boat reached port he reddish blond girl snorted lightly, before heading away from the docks and in some random direction. Fortunate enough she had picked right -- Rosey always seemed to have an aura of good luck about her -- and soon the laboratory was in sight. After a bit more walking through Konika Village the laboratory doors were right in front of the fifteen year old teen.
"Ugh... Such a small place. I cannot believe this is considered a laboratory..."
Small? Well... It's safe to say Rosa's definition of small is probably everyone else definition of huge. Spoiled brat much?
The girl simply did a "hmph" sound, a slender hand curling into a tight fist, before her knuckles rapped against the main door of Professor Aspen's laboratory. This done she waited, rather impatiently, to be answered -- worrying about making sure each frill and corner of her very expensive dress and boots was in top shape and perfect. Taking out a mirror from her matching purse, she checked her hair and the pair of white ribbons on each side of her head. Only once she was pleased with her appearance did the child place the mirror back, now waiting. A foot was tapped rhythmically against the hard and solid floor below it, a sign that her patience was thinning.
Why were they taking so long, her father should have already informed these people that Her Greatness she was coming today.

Today was not poor Wade's day. He had tons of days he could classify as crappy, but today probably was worthy of an entire new category to classify days under. Brand new, and all to itself, because certainly no day was going to be as big of a pain in the butt as today was going to be.
And it all started to peacefully, too. For once, Abigail hadn't threatened to kick his behind for being hungover, which was actually pretty suspicious now Wade thought about it. The Kangaskhan was probably in on everything. Yeah, that made sense... Anyway, the peace didn't last terribly long. Only moments after waking up, under his desk this time rather than on top, the phone had rung. Again quite miraculously, Wade had managed to locate said telephone and picked it up, muttering an introduction rather incoherently due to the alcohol from yesterday taking a toll on his brain.
The guy on the other end of the phone had produced so many difficult words in so little time that Wade had wondered his he was still asleep. Surely nobody from this century would ever sound like that... Some fancy-pants sent his fancy-pants kid to come collect her Pokémon. If he'd make sure everything went down smoothly. After grumbling a confirmation, Wade had hung up and washed himself. And only then did the message make sense.
He'd heard of the Blanche family. Not much, in all honesty, but the daughter's reputation as a cold hearted bi...young woman was probably as famous as the Blanches were rich. Which was very, very rich.
So yes, Wade was nervous. He was nervous to such a point that even Abigail chose to comfort her owner rather than scold him, and that was saying something. And so, when a quick knock on the door broke the silence that ruled the laboratory, Wade flinched.
"She's going to murder me, Abi," he whispered, bottom lip quivering. "What do I do... Oh, oh! I don't show it. She probably won't notice... Okay. Just... Be tough. Be a man..."
Abigail rolled her eyes, yet gave the man a reassuring pat on the back. The least he could use right now was something to freak him out a bit more... And besides, this could just as well be amusing. A small smile played on the lips of the Kangaskhan as she retreated to Wade's desk, while Wade himself approached the door. As casual as he could, though still shivering a bit, he reached for the doorknob, twisted it and opened the door.
...Uhm... Right.
"...Hi," Wade managed to produce, a eyebrow raised. So this was the Rosa Maria Blanche? ... This was just a kid! A little girl, just having hit puberty, dressed in a frilly gown and... Gah. That he got himself all worked up over this...
"Welcome to Professor Aspen's Lab. The Professor herself isn't present at the moment, so I'll be assisting you. Wade Wilson, please do step inside," he said, cursing himself under his breath for being such a moron. Hah, that he got scared of a little girl... Besides, he was a grown man! If there was even a shred of truth to the story about the girl's temper, she sure as hell wouldn't... Nah.

What was taking them so long... The blond girl pressed her lips lightly, grinding her perfectly white teeth underneath the glossy cover. This Blanche wasn't exactly known for her patience -- a trait from her dad that apparently had skiped the gene pool that composed her -- and, to be honest, she was like a time bomb.
And she was already close to exploding.
"...Hi." "What in Arceus' name took you so damn long, creep?!" "Welcome to Professor Aspen's Lab. The Professor herself isn't present at the mome..."
Without waiting for invitation the girl practically attempted to shove the man out of her way, not even giving him a spare glance. For all Rosey was concern he was worth less than the slav- I mean, servants at the Blanche Mansion. A white and pink cellphone was in the girl's grip as she walked around the lab, taking a photo here and there with the device -- photos she would later forward to her father to appease him, and assure the man that she was fine.
Twirling to face the aide of the lab she snapped a photo of his face, grimacing lightly.
"To think I have to soil my phone's memory with a picture of you. Ah well, at least daddy will know who's head to cut later if you don't start being quicker."
Another glance around the room made the fifteen year old sigh in slightly disappointment. When her father had suggested this place the girl had expected something... More to her standards. Still, it could be worst, and at least the place seemed clean. Upon, finally, noticing the Kangaskhan in the back the blond blinked - a bit surprised now.
She'd seen a few Pokemons before, and knew almost all of them from research and books -- but seeing them personally was a whole 'nother story.
"Oh, a Kangaskhan, the parent Pokemon. They raise their babies in their pouches mostly, though they sometimes let them out to play and explore. Now let us see, where is that baby of yours. Maybe it would make a decent spot in my party..."
Yes, Miss Blanche was not used to the word "no," or being denied what she wanted for that matter. She couldn't care less if the Kangaskhan wanted a stranger pulling the baby out of her pouch for inspection, which was the thing Rosey was just about to attempt. Let's say the kid didn't really knew where her powers ended and the rights of someone else started.
One thing was certain, though. Where little princess Blanche (as her father called her) be harmed in any way, regardless of the circumstances, it'd be Wade the one in for a horrible ride. It didn't help, at least not to him, that the girl had already sent her father a picture of the man that was attending to her needs.

Wade felt himself shrink out of fear. Literally shrink. He'd measure himself after this little brat was out of his door and hopefully out of his life forever. Of course, right now he just had to grin and bear it, he supposed... Even if she called him a creep and wouldn't let him finish his sentences.
"To think I have to soil my phone's memory with a picture of you. Ah well, at least daddy will know who's head to cut later if you don't start being quicker."
"...I think you need permission to take pictures of-" Wade started, against better judgement. Rosa would probably just kick his ass for even opening his mouth or breathing her air or some other stupid, rich-people reason, but the male couldn't exactly be bothered with it seeing as the girl had taken a great amount of interest in his Kangaskhan.
... Well, this wasn't going to be pretty.
Abigail, unaware of the impending danger (ahem), had looked up rather casually when the Blanche child approached her, getting a wee bit uncomfortable with Rosa's sudden approach. She had a child to look after, and Abigail never had dealt well with strangers. Her upper lip curled up to reveal a mighty set of canine teeth as the teen attempted to make a grab for poor little Whistler, the Kangaskhan raising one of her mighty arms to try and shield her baby. Wade grew pale; he'd seen that look on Abigail once or twice before, which sort of made him regret teaching his Pokémon moves like Mega Punch, Focus Punch and Outrage, to name a few...
"Uuuh you really don't want to do that!" the aide meeped, making a quick dive for Abigail's other arm, using his full weight to try and keep the Kangaskhan from unleashing an attack to protect her baby. It was obvious that Wade and his weight were just a minor setback to the mother Pokémon, but it seemed to work; the Kangaskhan resorted to backing away from Rosa instead, arm still outstretched to keep distance between her and Whistler. "Really, Abigail is a bit grumpy and her baby is, uh, sick. Yeah. Whistler's definitely not the Pokémon you want; he's contagious. And stuff,"
Not the best save in the world, but Wade hoped it would be enough. Best was to distract the kid with some other Pokémon. That were 'up to her standards', psh. Too bad he didn't have any Dunsparce to give her. Carefully letting go of his Pokémon, keeping a close eye on her all the while, Wade snatched a brochure from his desk, his hands quivering yet again as he held it out to Rosa; the poor thing was afraid the Blanche girl was going to bite his hand off.
"A-a quick list of the Pokémon we have to offer," he managed to produce, "There are a few Pokémon from other regions; Glameow, Growlithe, Ekans and Natu, a-and the Lanorae native Pokémon as well. T-they are Iglora, the Grass type, the Fire typed Firecub and finally the Seaward, a Water Pokémon." he added, pointing at the various pictures in the brochure. Odds are that Rosa had long stopped listening to him, but even if she had, Wade doubted he would notice. Right now, keeping his irritated, immensely powerful Kangaskhan in line had priority.

"...I think you need permission to take pictures of-" "You say something, insect?"
The female acted rather indifferent, clearlynot caring one bit about what Wade had to say about her taking pictures. She would do whatever the hell she wanted to do.
""Uuuh you really don't want to do that!" "Look, servant, you're really starting to irritate me now..." "Really, Abigail is a bit grumpy and her baby is, uh, sick. Yeah. Whistler's definitely not the Pokémon you want; he's contagious. And stuff," "Whistler? WHat kind of name for a Pokemon is that?! Ah well, it would not be much aid if he is sick anyways... Fine, what else do you got stored around here, slave?"
As the aid dove in the middle of the girl and his Pokemon the blond gritted her teeth lightly. Obviously she wasn't aware about the danger she had just been in, or the might save of her ass (and the rest of her body) that Wade had done for her. Still, it seemed his petty trick worked, and as the girl watched the Kangaskhan back away she shrugged -- giving Abigail no more thought.
""A-a quick list of the Pokémon we have to offer. There are a few Pokémon from other regions; Glameow, Growlithe, Ekans and Natu, a-and the Lanorae native Pokémon as wel..."
She'd stopped listening again mid-sentence, her attention focused on the pictures the man had pointed out. They were all so... Common. Except for the native starters of this place, they did look rather nice.
"Iglora. Show me the Igloras you currently have. The male ones. Now!"
Well, it seemed her interest had been caught, and the girl was now in "business mode," short, "sweet" and direct to the point. Her gaze turned to look back at Wade, disapproving that he still hadn't moved (even though she'd given him only two seconds at most) from his spot still to go and find what she had requested. She wanted to choose fromt hr stock available -- she only wated the best out of this lab.
Only the best was worthy of belonging to Rosa María Blanche.

...Cuuuurses. He needed a drink, to speak with Rosa's words, NOW. Hadn't that brat noticed he'd pretty much just saved her life? Abigail wouldn't have hesitated to pounce on the girl with her full weight had she extended a finger at Whistler, and even when voicing her obvious annoyance with the baby's name the Kangaskhan looked as if she'd take great pleasure in hurting the Blanche child.
Now, while Abigail couldn't care less as long as her baby was safe, Wade was pretty sure that not only would he get fired, but he'd get fired. Or, sorry, he'd get lit on fire. Not something he was exactly looking forward to.
"Iglora. Show me the Igloras you currently have. The male ones. Now!"
"Yes m'am," murmured the male aide, reassuringly patting his Pokémon on the head before hurrying to the cupboards set up along the wall on his right, opening a few drawers before a triumphant grin made a brief appearance on his lips. A total of three Pokéballs were drawn from the drawer before it was closed and Wade hurried back to Rosa. Better not let the kid waiting any longer; no, he'd get her out so he could spend the rest of the day wondering what he'd done to deserve this with a nice glass of scotch. Or a bottle. Of any kind of liquor. Wade wasn't picky right now.
"Iglora's," he said, opening the three orbs one after another. With a flash of white light, three dinosaur-like creatures spawned on the floor between him and Rosa, each of them looking rather confused as to why they had been summoned. It didn't take long for the Pokémon to reveal their personalities; it seemed the one on the far left was bored with the two humans almost instantly, pouncing on the middle Iglora. As their wrestling match began, the third Iglora was left standing between Wade and Rosa still, looking up at the young woman with big, amber eyes and... was it... adoration that sparkled in them?
Wade wisely kept his mouth shut, exchanging a series of quick looks with Abigail. The Kangaskhan had already fetched a small satchel containing a Trainer's essentials; it appeared Wade wasn't the only aiming to get Rosa Maria Blanche out of the Laboratory as soon as possible.

"Yes m'am." "Hmph."
As the man finally scattered off to fetch what she had requested for the female looked around, a foot tapping impatiently against the cold floor every no and then.
What. Was. Taking. So. Damn. Long?
"Igloras." "About time, hurry up and let them out."
As the three Igloras were revealed, a bit perplexed at first, it didn't took much before their personalities started to shine. The first seemed disinterested, more focused on bothering the second -- which really seemed as much of a wimp as the first.
To Rosa at least.
The third, however, struck gold. The female watched the amber eyes of the grass type sparkle in what she guessed was some sort of admiration, a grin lighting her features. Oh yes, he'd be excellent. A slave to her every need and command. Simply, absolutely, perfect.
"Him. I want him. Now."
And with that her choice was made, and the Iglora's fate decided.

'Oh Arceus... The poor thing. Please, spare him,' was pretty much the only thing Wade could think when he noticed Rosa's attention lingering on the last Iglora the longest of all. He wasn't a religious person, but really, not even a deity could be as mean as to...
"Him. I want him. Now."
...Okay, apparently there was. Wade bit his lip, inhaling deeply as he recalled all three dinosaurs to their respective Pokéballs. A hint of reluctance apparent in the way he moved, the third catching device was handed to Abigail, the Kangaskhan seemingly much better at hiding her own emotions as she dropped the orb into the satchel she already held. Said satchel was then handed over to Rosa, and with that, the girl had received her first Pokémon.
...Demanded. Claimed. Wade was thinking about adding 'brutally stolen after abusing the poor Aide who was only out to help her', but since when did Officer Jenny start taking him serious anyway?
"These items should be good enough to get you to the first town," Wade explained, knowing that he was only taking care of the formalities; like before with the brochure, the girl was probably not paying him any attention. He might as well go back to the cupboard and ramble to that. He'd probably get more of a response out of the wood than out of this girl. "So you're all set now. Goodbye~"
Rosa received an Iglora (the poor baby. Dx)!
