((Alright. This is very long, so if you don't wish to read my wall of text, just go done to the dashed line. XD Thats the main part any way. ))
``Dagger
Boy, traveling to a new region certainly is tiring. Especially if your old home is one of the most northern regions ever discovered. Three boats, hours of waiting in lines, and a week at sea just to get close to her destination. Well, at least the cabins are comfy, and they have Wi-Fi, which is always a plus. Dagger was flat on her stomach, sprawled, in the midst of the sheets of her bed on the S.S. Empoleon. Her fingers flew over the keys of the laptop the ship had left in the room, typing the last of her letter home. Her grandparents would just be besides themselves with worry if she took to long in sending them something, be it just a single line of text saying she was just fine. Shaking her head, and chuckling at the thought of her grand-mama sending search parties out to find her, the blue haired girl closed the computer and began her clean up of the little room.[/size]
Stuffing clothes and notebooks into the depths of her bag, Dagger pondered what she had learned about the new lands she was heading to. With all the new species of Pokemon, the history of its discovery, and not to mention the prospect of a region unknown, was enough to satisfy any number of aspiring trainers. But, for this aspiring breeder, seeing these things just wasn't enough. No, she plans on studying, researching, as much as possible during her stay in Lanorae. The sheer thought of the amount of time, not to mention paper, that would take, was certainly mind boggling. But she was up for it, and she was prepared to do what ever it took to accomplish her goal."Attention all passengers. We shall be making land fall in Lanorae shortly, please collect your things and report on deck."
The voice of the female first mate broke Dagger from her pleasant thoughts, and she hurried her packing. When all her clothes were packed, the bed made, and the room sparkling clean, the young woman turned around to fix her disguise in the mirror. What she saw, staring wide mouthed back at her, almost made her scream in absolute horror. "Oh no! I'm such an idiot, how could I have let this happen?!" Touching her now bright blue cheek, Dagger actually felt like punching the mirror in her frustration. Her pointed, furred ears twitched, and her feathered tail fell in defeat. Most of her poke-morph heritage was easy to hide, buried in layers of clothes. But her skin needed to be tanned constantly to keep the blue from showing through. Yet, now that she had stayed in a very comfortable cabin for a whole week, par-taking in the wonderful bathes they offered, her skin was returning to its natural color.
"Oh man, this can't be happening... Please, PLEASE, let these people be considerate, or at least think its some kind of fad..." Dagger was praying by the time she had closed the cabin door, hoping that everything would be okay and her appearance wouldn't cause a major panic or something of the sort. She reached the stairs without incident, but each step felt like it took an eternity. When she finally reached the top, and could see the feet of the other excited passengers passing just at eye level, she held her breath and prepared for the worst.
The last few steps were taken as fast as she could without running, and almost immediately she hit the railing of the ship. Dagger hugged the bars, keeping her head turned the best she could away from most of the people, while still gazing out at the main land. It certainly was a sight to behold, nothing she had ever set eyes on before, but that could be because she was used to seeing white all year round. She stood gazing at the green landscape, so transfixed by its beauty she actually jumped when the blow horn rang, which officially announced their arrival. Dagger was pushed and shoved off the S.S. Empoleon, with out a single scream, or gasp of disgust at her odd colored skin.~~~~~~~~~~
The quaint little town of Konika was sort of refreshing, even with the scorching sun beating her into submission. Unfortunately, she had to reach a certain laboratory, which was quite a ways away from the docks. True, the village she had to walk through was a very picturesque scene, but when your wearing a black shirt in eighty degree weather, you don't exactly want to spend to much time outside. Dagger frowned, rubbing her ocean hued arm, wishing she wasn't so exposed. Kicking lazily at a stray stone on the path, the 'morph wondered how she hadn't noticed her own body turning a different color. If your skin was turning bright blue, wouldn't you have figured it out by now? She felt like a complete moron, and they way she was chewing on her lip certain portrayed it.
So far, so good. Dagger kept her head low, and shuffled her feet as fast as they would go in this heat. Glancing out of the corners of her eyes, she could tell that, for the most part, she was alone. She only stumbled, literally, into an elderly couple once. She quickly apologized and hurried away, only earning knowing smiles from the pair. How odd... You would think the older generation would be more prejudice of her type, but what can you expect with a newly discovered region? When she happened to look up, she found the sky complete devoid of white, only the glare of the yellow orb that seemed to hate her at the moment. With a dejected sigh, blue skinned teen kept on her not-so-merry way until she found her golden gaze locked on a pair of steel double doors.
"Do they even allow..." Dagger allowed her statement to trail off, staring at her reflection in the bright metal. Blue skin, sharp teeth, gold eyes, it was all obvious that she wasn't normal. Even her bandanna was tipped to one side, showing off the base of one furred ear. And was that the tip of her tail peeking out from beneath her sweatshirt? Completely dispirited, the young Wartortle morph dragged her booted feet over the wooden steps, and approached the doors that seemed so intimidating all of a sudden. Could she turn away now? She was sure her grandparents would love to have her pack in Snowpoint. Shaking her head, Dagger was disgusted that she would even consider giving up on her dream just because she had turned blue. She had never let her heritage get her down before, why should she start now? So, with a deep breath, the youthful breeder knocked thrice upon the double doors, awaiting an answer.
