Will you still call me Superman?

Matt is a tall young man, easily reaching 6’1” when standing erect. Unfortunately…He slouches. A lot, making him appear to be of an average height. He probably doesn’t weigh all that much for his age, but the weight he has comes from his muscles – Matt can be classified as the kind of person who doesn’t have to work out much in order to build up muscle – which, despite being there, do not show all that much, save for on his arms. Besides his physique (if you could call it that), Matt takes extreme pride in his hair, which is as black as could possibly be. It also looks as if the person who cut it was drunk, the length of his hair varying greatly, and most of the time, it can be found in either two positions; flat against his head or standing upright in a ‘I’m a bishie so my hair defies all gravity’ kind of way. To more or less finish it off, he has decided on some ‘face decoration’, in the form of three or four tiny black hairs on his chin which he likes to call a goatee.
If there is one thing Matt really couldn’t care less about, it is obviously his clothing. He’ll slip on anything as long as it smells clean and isn’t a dress or skirt, but since he teamed up with Tease he is beginning to develop some sense when dressing himself. Despite hailing from Mahogany Town in Johto, which is famous for her Ice Type Gym and thus people should be used to the cold, Matt gets cold way to easily. For this reason and this reason only, he prefers long sleeved shirts and baggy pants over everything else. He most commonly settles for darker colors like black, dark gray and dark brown, but when the weather is warmer he’ll change to white and lighter gray. The long sleeves and baggy pants stay, however. His shoes defy the ‘dark colors is win’ law, being a pair of sturdy boot-like shoes of light coloration, his favorite pair being white. As for accessories, Matt has but a few; a black belt with Pokéball holders and a thin, silver chain hanging from his neck, a silver medallion dangling from it.[/ul][/ul]
Though most of the time he tried to act a little responsible by taking the initiative and coming up with plans and tactics, it’s not all that hard to get Matt excited for something. He still maintains his rather calm persona, but once he gets hyped up for something, it takes him quite a while to let it go. An example of this would probably be the time when Matt was convinced he could ride the Red Gyarados of the Lake of Rage, only to find the creature gone, after which he spent an entire week trying to find it before finally giving up the idea.
Some people wouldn’t exactly say it, but Matt has a shy streak to him. He tried to avoid crowds as much as possible, being way more comfortable surrounded by a small group of his very close friends rather than being stuck with a massive group of strangers. Usually acting really cool about it, Matt can’t help but just slightly freaking out when the amount of people around him exceeds five, a blushing and stuttering fit being the result.
Around his close friends and Pokémon, too (he always got along better with them than humans, for whatever the reason might be), Matt takes up the part of comic relief, being the one joking to lighten up a tough situation or to cheer someone up. Besides that, he is a really good listener and generally not afraid to hug someone when he believes they need it. Tease often classified Matt as a ‘big, lovable idiot’, which actually suits him quite well.
Being the calm guy he is, Matt doesn’t exactly seem to like battling all that much. The strength and power aspects of it, at least. He often tries to tire out or confuse his opponents by using a lot of tactics which all seem to have a huge defensive aspect in them, as opposed to his friend Tease.
Speaking of which, Matt has seemed to realize that Tease harbors certain feelings for him, about time, as some would say, but he plays it really cool to hide the fact he is actually afraid he will let her down. Poor little insecure fellow.[/ul][/ul]
Will you still call me Superman?
If I’m alive and well
Will you be there, holding my hand?
