Though we know some of the ways to make a Pokemon gain (or lose) happiness points, are we allowed to simply add points whenever our characters do something to make a Pokemon happy or unhappy? I'm assuming that, to avoid cheating, instead a mod will have to say when a Pokemon gains/loses happiness points, but I wanna make sure.
SO, basically the question is, do mods tell us to add/subtract points and how many we are adding/subtracting, or do we just do that ourselves?

The mods should tell you =3 Otherwise we run the risk of people just adding random happiness points all over the place, or refusing to subtract them, and things like that and that sort of destroys the point of them D=

I gave my character Benjamin the Happiny from the Easter thing -- since it followed him (in character) and he pretty much offered for it to go with him, I added 4 happiness points.
Should I remove those?

Yeah, seeing that was a gift, like the starters, they automatically start at zero Happiness until something a staff member can mod occurs and Happiness can be awarded.

I gave my Natu 5 points because it is in a battle. I should take those off?

Alright, this is what I'm going to do. I'm putting trust in you guys but that shouldn't be an issue =P
If your moderator makes no indication about happiness, and it is one of the things listed in the rules, then you can add it yourself, but please make sure you subtract when necessary as well =< I've had issues on other sites before where there were trainers that horribly abused their Pokémon yet said Pokémon still obeyed them without question, and I'm trying to make things a bit more realistic here.
However, when it comes to promotion Pokémon and such, the promo Pokémon will always just start at zero, even if you implemented it into your journey by having it offer to come with you or likewise. Seeing not everyone even gives a reason for their promotion Pokémon being present, that's just to keep it reasonably fair for everyone to start with.
However, when it comes to the praising thing, please don't overdo that xDDDD A "Good job! You're amazing" after a won battle is fine, but no one's gonna be running around praising their Pokémon every five minutes.
Does that sound fair to everyone? =3 [/blockquote]

Yes Ayra! Recap: Do it yourself. Promo Pokémon start at 0. Praise every thread or battle or so.
