1. OROTHE
History Hatched at the lab into Benjamin's immediate care, Orothe hasn't known much else. His first memories are of a room with shelves... and his trainer, who he takes to be his 'mother'. (Ah, the joys of imprinting.)
Personality A calm, reserved, and all-around serene pokemon, Orothe might be described as 'way to flipping level-headed for his age'. Yes, that might be true -- he's also a little dull, and perhaps the reason he doesn't take offense easily is because he doesn't understand taunts. ... Or perhaps he's really that chill.
In any case, he never loses his temper, and lets negative energy just roll off him. He's not hyper or super happy, just... calm. He goes along with whatever Benjamin is doing, never questioning much, and should it come to a battle, it's rare to see Orothe take the first move.
As he is under the impression that Benjamin is his mother, Piplup has an absentminded tendancy to follow him wherever he goes. When he's hungry, he'll alert Holt with a incessant peeping cry -- one can only be thankful that he accepts whole food.
Thoughts I like Benjamin.
... I don't like the Happiny. She is very mean.

2. AKALA
History Hatched and raised at the Lanorae 'Promo Center', Akala made a break for it at the ripe old level of... five. She had to get out and see the world, you know -- make a name for herself, get training as a nurse... No, just waiting around to be 'given away' wasn't for her.
That was about when she found Benjamin -- Improperly packing his first aide supplies! -- and his newly hatched starter, Orothe the Piplup. Seeing the duo as her 'chance' to make a difference, she demanded a place on their team.
Personality Enthusiastic may not be the precise word to describe Akala, but it's certainly close: Curing minor injuries is her calling, and nothing comes between her and a skinned knee... except a Band-aid, of course!
While some may take this quirk as obnoxious (and it certainly has the potential to be), it's important to understand that Akala really is 'just trying to help'. She can sometimes fail to see the consequences of her actions, and is surprised when others respond negatively to her over-protectiveness.
Thoughts *sigh* Those two -- Benjamin and Piplup, that is -- are so stubborn! They should know that I know the most about first aide. Really. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
