So, you want to roll with the bad guys do you? Ah, but you should be warned. We don't take just
anyone into our ranks. We don't have some nice, pretty little lab you can just waltz up to and demand a Pokémon, oh no. You want to join? We'll find
you, not the other way around. A lot of effort has gone into making us the most prominent organization in the region, and we're not about to ruin our image just because some snot-nosed little brat thinks they can be all "big and bad" and try to take over the Syndicate.
You think you have what it takes to be leader? Ha, tough luck brat.
Maybe we'll let you off grunt work,
maybe, but don't get your hopes up. If you even get into the organization in the first place, we're going to be keeping an eye on you. You betray us? Terminated. Mess up? Terminated. I wouldn't take the term "terminated" lightly either if you know what's good for you.
Still want to join? Ha, you're more foolish than I thought, kid.
There are two ways to become a member of the Omega Syndicate. However, they both have a similar protocol, the only difference is that you may be further along in terms of Pokémon if you join another way. However, no matter which way you join, you will always begin on the
recruit rank. It doesn't matter if you have a level five Pokémon or a level fifty one, the Omega Syndicate isn't going to go and throw a high rank on someone that just joined.
STARTING WITH THE TEAMIf you want your character to be a member of the team immediately, then you would post here in the
recruit induction board, where a moderator will roleplay an Omega Syndicate member finding your character, and then, after some sort of test, providing your character with their choice of one of three unique starters as well as some items.
JOINING UP LATERYou also have the option of initially pursuing another path, such as choosing a starter at Professor Aspen's lab, and then joining up with the team at a later time. To do this, simply pm a staff member that you're interested in having your character join the OS, and they will have a team member appear in whichever thread of yours is currently active at the time you want to be inducted. Obviously, you will not receive another starter or items, but you will still be tested to some extent by the member.
Omega Syndicate agents will have to complete specific missions if they wish to rank up in the organization. However, there are some drawbacks to being a more established member. There will be a
faction system implemented soon, and the more you ally yourself with the team, the more likely you will be recognized in public.
For instance, if you just joined up with the team you could battle gym leaders, walk through towns without a care, ect. However, once your begin to rank up you may very well have gym leaders attack you rather than accept a challenge, have the police called on you, ect.
Choose wisely how you want to ally yourself! If you want to be a high-standing member of the OS, then there's going to be people looking for you!
POKEMONThe Omega Syndicate has a rather unique way of handing out starting Pokémon. Should they find you worthy, they will offer you a choice of one of three Pokémon they will present you with. Due to their...
connections, generally these Pokémon relate in the potential recruit in some way. They come with a pre-defined gender and nature, though it's quite possible they may have a few small bonuses to them, such as TM or egg moves.
Where these Pokémon are gained by the organization is unknown, though it's unlikely you'd want to know anyway. Who knows what misfortune may have befell their previous owners, though it's a mystery in itself why they don't seem to recall any past trainers they may have had.
STARTER KITHowever, that is not all that is offered to new recruits. Basic supplies is also given to provide support until an opportunity to restock (by legal or illegal means) has arisen. Though it's not exactly the nicest "starter pack", it's enough to get by. This kit contains
five poké balls,
five bags of energy powder,
one revive,
one rare candy, and
500 cD.
