lake of souls
Marshy ground almost immediately meets you as you leave the sturdy ground beneath the gnarled trees. A large lake spreads through the clearing, quite a curious sight for the middle of the forest, which is enveloped by fog and mist. Occasionally the hoot of a Hoothoot can be heard, however, quite possibly the most curious thing seems to be the pale orbs of light far off in the mist that seem to fade in and out of sight.
Some ancient rowboats can be seen faintly in the mist, perhaps having been used at one point to cross the mysterious waters of the lake, but one must wonder if they are still safe for they look ancient. Of course... there is really only one way to find out, isn't there?

Lotad, Lombre, and Ludicolo Coming soon. Time of Day: Day and night. Seasons: Spring, summer, autumn. Found: These Pokémon can be found anywhere, though it should be noted that Ludicolo tends to be on the shore more than in the water.

Wooper and Quagsire Coming soon. Time of Day: Day and night. Seasons: Spring, summer, autumn, winter. Found: These Pokémon can only be found in the water during the day, however, they can be found anywhere at night.

Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar Coming soon. Time of Day: Night. Seasons: Spring, summer, autumn, winter. Found: The Pokémon can be found anywhere.
••••• - ••••• - ••••• common - uncommon - very rare
Hoothoot and Noctowl While Hoothoot can be seen both day and night, their eerie calls generally pick up around evening, when they’re most active. Following the rest of their species, resident Hoothoot tend to watch newcomers with wide eyes, occasionally offering up a soft ‘Hoo?’. The silhouettes of their larger evolutions can sometimes be seen soaring overhead, posing as silent hunters of the night, though they are noticeably less active during the day. Time of Day: Day and night. Seasons: Spring, summer, autumn, winter. Found: Both stages can be found anywhere, though they tend to prefer roosting along the tree line.
••••• - ••••• common - uncommon
Zubat, Golbat, and Crobat Common Pokémon in most caves and forests, the bat Pokémon living at the Lake of Souls are no exception. They sleep through the day hanging from the surrounding trees, and when the sun sets they can be seen taking to the air in flocks – hunting down whatever insect they can catch. Time of Day: Night. Seasons: Spring, summer, autumn, winter. Found: All stages can be found anywhere, though they tend to prefer roosting along the tree line.
••••• - ••••• - ••••• very common - very uncommon - rare
Oddish, Gloom, Vileplume, and Bellossom A common sight just about anywhere, these Oddish can be seen wandering the shore at night, along with one or two of its later evolutions. They can be a bit territorial, and a few have been known to attack travelers without warning. Bellossom tend to be more timid, and only comes out during the day where they can be found dancing along the shore line. Time of Day: Oddish may only be found during the night, and Bellossom only during the day. However, both Gloom and Vileplume can be found at anytime. Seasons: Spring, summer, autumn. Found: All Pokémon can be found almost anywhere, though it should be noted that Bellossom tend to search out the few patches of sun that managed to get within Mistwood.

Ekans and Arbok Perhaps the most aggressive of Pokémon found at the Lake of Souls, Ekans and Arbok are most often found in the damp soil that surrounds the lake (none have been caught swimming as of yet). They can be hard to spot, and if they feel threatened, they’ll lash out without thinking – so be sure to watch where you step! Time of Day: Day & night. Seasons: Spring, summer, autumn. Found: Both stages are normally found along the shore, especially in dense underbrush. While it's believed they have the capability to swim, none have been noted doing so as of yet. They are known for hibernating during the winter in sheltered holes along the shore, so it's unlikely you'll see one at that time.
••••• - ••••• common - very uncommon
Mudkip, Marshtomp and Swampert Fond of the marshy soil, local Mudkip can be seen playing in the mud and shallows of the Lake of Souls. Though they stay at the lake year round, they can be quite skittish – so don’t expect to run into one. Their later evolutions tend to be more elusive, and Swampert especially don't really like visitors. Time of Day: Day & night. Seasons: Spring, summer, autumn, winter. Found: All stages can be found anywhere.
••••• - ••••• - ••••• uncommon - very uncommon - rare
Drifloon and Drifblim Because sightings of these Pokémon are so infrequent, it is speculated that there are only a few of the species living at the lake. Drifblim and Drifloon are calm souls, and enjoy floating lazily on whatever current catches them, though the latter especially seems to be particularly attracted to younger individuals. It's not uncommon for them to try and lead younger trainers away into the mist, though they tend to get pulled around by said child instead. Time of Day: Day & night. Seasons: Spring, summer, autumn, winter. Found: Both stages can be found anywhere.
