As Tobias approached the lab, he realized that it was Friday the 13th. That's not good... I'll have to be careful. He made sure that he wasn't going to step on a crack or anything. By the time he approached the entrance to the lab, he had altered his course several times. Reaching up, he knocked on the door several times.
I'm going to get either a water of a grass type. I know those the best.
ooc: great, my first post on the site is incredibly crappy

[ O u t of C h a r a c t e r ] It looks fine ^^
Tobias probably wasn't the only one worrying about the present date, for hanging in one of the lab windows was a small horseshoe, which was believed to bring good luck to the abode in which it was hung. However, there was no trace of just who had put it there, the professor wasn't exactly known for being superstitious after all.
It certainly didn't take long for someone to come to the door, for it slid open almost immediately upon knocking. Yet there was... no one there... the doorway remained empty as the interior of the lab was revealed, except for a noticeably cold chill that was quite out of place among the warm temperatures that were present in Konika Village this day.
'<Can I help you, sir?>' a voice called out from the empty area, ringing in the air as if it echoed upon itself in a melodic tune. Well, it certainly wasn't everyday one got talked to by a disembodied voice.

Relief washed over him as soon as he saw the horseshoe, it looked like there wouldn't be any bad luck in the lab. Suddenly, the door opened, and Tobias peered inside. Hello? Suddenly, he heard the voice coming from inside the lab. Normally, on Friday the 13th, he would be really freaking out right now, but because of the horseshoe, he managed to keep his cool. Uh, hi. I'd like to get a Pokemon and become a trainer. A grass or a water type would be best.

'<Of course... just about everyone is coming here for that now...>' the voice mused. The cold chill was still present, as if Tobias was standing near an open freezer of some sort. However, it seemed that something faintly visible was now hovering in the general area, a semi-transparent being on which now details were yet obvious yet.
'<As for water and grass... the only two types we currently have are of the Lanorae native group, Seaward and Iglora they are called, the sea serpent and terrain saurian respectively...>' the figure now became fully visible, revealing a mostly white body. Two ice crystals crowned her head and around her 'waist' seemed to be a red tie, which faintly resembled tiny wings.
The Froslass turned her gaze to focus her pale blue and yellow eyes on an image that was fixed upon the wall. It featured a small orange lion-type Pokemon that seemed to have fire burning on its tail, a green saurian with the beginnings of a set of horns and what seemed to be small grasses growing on its back, and a blue sea serpent with a slender head crowned with white fins. '<If you're curious to how they appear just focus your attentions on that picture...>'

Tobias started at the Pokemon, he had never seen one like that before. Once again, he was a little relieved that there was an expiation to the voiced, showing that the lab was probably not haunted. Uh, yeah, the grass one would be great. Tobias was starting to wonder why a Pokemon had answered the door instead of one of the professor, or even one of the assistants.

[ O u t of C h a r a c t e r ] Sorry for the wait on this.
[ B a c k in C h a r a c t e r ]
The Froslass gave a simple nod as Tobias reached his decision, floating off as if pushed by some sort of gentle air currently several feet off the floor. The ice spirit seemed to pause before a tall shelf, taking in the contents that were scattered upon it. She gently reached out with one of her hands, clasping it over a red and white sphere, and gently lifted a pack from its place, carrying both items back with her. She paused before Tobias, holding them out with a soft smile on her lips.
'<Your items and Pokemon, do use them well... and a word of warning, as your Iglora grows stronger you may find it to become harder to control... it's their nature after all, they are free spirits...>'

The Froslass closed her eyes cheerfully, her arms swaying in a fluid motion at her sides as she gave a slight twirl of her body. '<I wish you luck on your journey...>'
You may now move on to Route One
