GENDER: Female

WEIGHT: Sixty-something kilograms, most likely.
BUILD: Average, if not slightly more muscular than most girls her age.
HAIR: Deep red. She wears it pretty long, falling roughly halfway down her back, and is left hanging down most of the time. Cooper doesn't really like bothering with ponytails or buns too much.
SKIN TONE: Peachy. She used to be incredibly pale, but the Dewford sun and temperature granted her a pretty sweet tan.
BASIC APPEARANCE: Cooper stands perhaps a little bit tall for her age, easily reaching a height of 180-something centimeters when fully erect. She, however, 'comes equipped' with long limbs; seemingly endless legs make the young woman appear a tad taller than she actually is, while her long arms sometimes can give one the impression she's slouching while she actually is not. Muscles are subtly outlined on Cooper's body, most of them thanks to the rigorous training scedule the girl prepared for herself in order to lose weight. Like most girls her age, Cooper is under the impression she's a little on the fat side and needs to lose weight, albeit not through starving herself to death. And, like most girls, Cooper exgagerrates when it comes to her weight. Sure, she might have a little extra around the edges, but most of her weight comes from the muscle she has built up surfing, jogging and cycling on the Dewford Island beaches.
Also thanks to her training program, Cooper has developed a healthy tan. Where she first was so pale, her brother teased her by calling her 'Sheets' - because sheets are supposed to be stark white, you see - Coop's skin now has a bit of colour to it, her cheeks rosy and some cute little freckles to adorn her small, round nose. Found sitting pretty on the bridge of that nose on occassion, you'll find a pair of reading glasses that some consider to be 'emo-glasses' with a rectangular frame and glasses to match. She carries an extra pair with her at all times, just in case she happens to lose this pair, and usually settles for contacts whenever she decides to go surf; while bringing out her blue eyes more, Cooper harbors a secret hatred for her contact lenses and tries to wear them as little as possible.
The only thing that might stand out about Cooper, is the girl's hair. Coloured a deep red, which, odd as it might sound, comes completely natural, it falls down until a little past her shoulders, at about the height of her armpits, slightly wavy from being put up in a ponytail when wet. Two long bangs line both sides of her face, while a shorter one has the habit of falling right in between her eyes; the kind of bang that, how desperately you try to get it out of your face, keeps falling right back into place instantly after. Cooper hardly ever wears her hair up when not surfing or doing any other kind of sport; she likes leaving it down because it's just easier that way.
Cooper isn't very nit-picky about her outfit. Were she still living at home in Dewford Town, she would most likely pick something up from the floor of her room, sniff it to try and determine how clean it is, and then wear it anyway. For journeying, however, the young woman has decided to at least try to look presentable; she is most commonly found wearing a tight-fitting, white and purple striped T-shirt to try and show off the few curves her body has developed. With this, she wears plain black pants which are slightly baggy at the bottom. Her shoes are simple sneakers most of the time, usually coloured black or a dark purple, and on colder days Cooper tends to slip on a jacket of the same colour as her pants. As for accessories, Cooper does wear quite a few, the most obvious ones being her fingerless gloves, black scarf and her purple bandana.

DISLIKES:

MENTAL CONDITIONS: Uhm... She's weird? Isn't that enough?
GENERAL PERSONALITY: Cooper is quite the nerd, especially when it comes to Pokémon. Because until recently, the girl's lifelong dream was to become a Pokémon Professor, Coop spent most of her childhood hidden behind some-or-other thick book on everything that could possibly relate to Pokémon. Habitats, diets, behaviour... Cooper is a walking Pokémon encyclopedia, known to have even updated her brother's Pokédex because the lack of certain information 'bothered her'.
While being very good with processing information and doing things other people would consider to be quite hard (like messing with technology normal thirteen year olds shouldn't really be messing with), Cooper is very insecure about herself and her abilities. She needs to ask for confirmation for everything; 'Am I doing this right?', 'This little thing goes here, doesn't it?', 'When I fix this antenna to your 'Dex, it increases the range to about thirty feet, yeah?', etectera. She knows exactly what she's doing, that's not the point; she just needs someone to tell her what she already knows. While appreciating confirmation, Cooper cannot process criticism or someone telling her she's doing something wrong. She tends to get really insecure and blame herself, doubting her next move until she, well... kind of freaks out.
Because of her little quirks, Cooper isn't the most sociable person. She tends to get incredibly shy around people she doens't know, cheeks instantly glowing a bright red and her usual steady flow of words turning into nearly-audible stutter. Needless to say, Coop isn't quite comfortable in big crowds, especially when they're made up of complete strangers. This doesn't mean the teen doesn't get out, hell no. Coop is an outdoorsy person. She loves nature and enjoys just watching the sky and the sea in her spare time. Or whenever she's not out doing sports. While initially hating the idea of working out, because, well, it meant working out, Cooper found her weight to be enough of a stimulant to actually go and try sports for a bit. When she discovered she could do sports outside, like cycling, jogging or surfing, the young woman actually began enjoying it a bit and now strives to do a little work out at least two hours a day.
That... doesn't mean she's very good, though. Being the clumsy little girl she is, Coop has cut and bruised herself sporting more than should be humanly possible. The girl is nearly never found without a bandage here or there to cover up her latest scuff-mark or scratch. Cooper doesn't really care, to be honest; she wears her scars and marks with pride. Until, of course, she falls over again.
While quite interested in them, Cooper is still very unsure what to think of Pokémon. She mostly thinks of them as very fun things to study, but is still kind of angry at Pokémon in general for taking her brother and best friend away from her all those years ago. Coop has pretty much the same problem bonding with Pokémon as she has bonding with humans, but seeing as she grew up on an island and was frequently surrounded by Fighting-, Rock- and Water typed Pokémon, those types are where her main interests lie.

oh, tell me a story about your past
NATIONALITY: Hoennean? xD.
HISTORY: Cordelia Hart was a housewife, while her husband Richard worked for the Devon Corporation. This meant not only that Richard had to travel from Dewford Town to Rustboro City every day, with a little help from the company’s Pidgeot express service, but also that he had to make frequent trips all around the region. While most men who tell their wives they’re going on business trips actually go on business trips, Richard was seeing another woman in Lilycove City, far away from his wife and family. To Cordelia, it was no secret her husband was seeing someone else. She stayed with him regardless; he was the father of five year old son, after all! It wasn’t until Cordelia announced that she was pregnant for a second time that Richard decided to leave his wife, for good this time. Cordelia underwent most of her second pregnancy alone, with only her sister Delilah and her son Christopher to help her around the house.
It had been a cold night, that April ninth in 1991. Everything was quiet in the Hart household when Cordelia went into labour. With no transportation to go to any kind of hospital, seeing as neither Cordelia nor her sister Delilah had ever trained any Pokémon or owned a boat of some kind, Cordelia gave birth to Cooper in her home.
Cooper grew up without ever knowing who her father was. Her mother was gone often, trying to earn a living on the market of Slateport, leaving Eve's aunt Delilah to care for her and her five year older brother, Chris. Dewford Town was a tight-knit community where everybody knew everybody, which meant all of the kids went to the same, little school and became each other’s friends. Cooper and Chris grew incredibly close to another young man of Chris’ age and the son of the Gym Leader of Dewford at the time, a young man named Griffin. The three of them spent most their days walking across the beach, joking on how Griffin and Cooper had the same name, daring each other to venture inside Granite Cave and watching the many Pokémon that would occasionally appear in the ocean and venture close to the mainland. Both Chris and Griffin were incredibly fascinated by them, and dreamt of nothing else than becoming Pokémon Trainers. Cooper, on the other hand, was still young and quite afraid, preferring to watch them from a distance and learn more about them from her books rather than to go and discover things for herself.
She was eight years old when Cooper had to watch her two best friend pursue their dream of becoming talented Pokémon Trainers. The young girl fell into a depression; her brother Chris and Griffin, the two young men she cared most for in the world and were her very best friends had left, and they hadn't even taken her along. Saddened, but mostly angry, Cooper frequently locked herself up in her room where she occupied herself, either with studying, drawing or writing. Anything, really, as long as it took her mind off of Pokémon, those stupid creatures that had taken her brother away from her.
Cooper entered high school as a quiet, introverted, yet very intelligent young woman, at around the same time as Chris and Griffin returned. The two men were almost instantly celebrities in their hometown, causing Eve, as Chris' sister and best friend of both of them, to get caught up in the current. The teenager was expected to have enough potential to be as good a Trainer as Chris and Griffin were, or perhaps even better. But Coop preferred to lock herself in her room instead, and study. She didn't want to have anything to do with training Pokémon, leaving your loved ones behind to go on an adventure... She couldn't even try and think of being so selfish. Cooper would help people instead; she would become a Pokémon researcher. With her vast knowledge, that would be no problem at all!
Her family was incredibly supportive of Cooper when she made the decision to become a Pokémon researcher, but her education turned out not to be as easy as Cooper had thought. This was mainly because, while she was a walking encyclopaedia on Pokémon, Cooper had little to no experience with Pokémon in real life. As the school advised Cooper to go on a journey to expand her knowledge some more, the young woman reluctantly gave in, turning to her brother for advice. The twenty-three year old told his sister the stories of his time in Hoenn and Johto, but instead of telling her to go there, Chris advised his sister to 'be open to other things'; go somewhere you don't know a thing about and see how that works for you, After all, he himself had no idea what he was getting himself into when he left for his journey.
Cooper took her brother’s advice to heart. She, Chris and Griffin began compiling a list of nearby regions and decided to pick a place judging only by the name. But, of course, Cooper wouldn’t be Cooper without doing some history checks. When the girl stumbled across Lanorae and its history, she seemed determined to travel there right away; after all, it seemed like a pretty young region with plenty places and Pokémon still waiting to be discovered. The decision was made and roughly a week later Cooper boarded the ferry from Slateport City to Konika Village.
