*( the tip of the iceberg )*
NAME: Archer Miles Connelly
ALIAS: Arch, Archie.
AGE: Twenty.
BIRTHDAY: Born November 2, 1989.
GENDER: Male.
*( lookin' good, sweetcheeks. )*
HEIGHT: Roughly six feet.
WEIGHT: 163 lbs (pounds).
BUILD: He sees himself as average, but there's a fair amount of muscle in his legs and stomach; the result of partaking in the high school soccer team to his mother's nagging for him to 'participate more'
EYE COLOR: Archer's eyes hone to a very, very dark brown, sometimes the colour itself is hard to see, oft being masked by the pupil entirely.
HAIR: It's a bit on the long side, dark, messy and ending with a slight curl.
SKIN TONE: A peach that's warm enough to pass by pale, but still faulter when it comes to being entirely sun-kissed.
BASIC APPEARANCE: Archer doesn't hold much passion towards his looks and he sees it with a good deal of indifference, although he does believe that he isn't ugly, and is happy enough with himself. He just isn't the type to fret, fuss or primp over his looks, many days he just rolls right out of bed and that's his look for the day, disregarding combing or putting actual thought into his clothing.
His hair holds a rather plain chocolate brown, very dark and easily confused for black in dim lights. It's messy and unkempt, obviously not being properly looked after by any barber, barely ever getting to see the sheen of metal blades off a pair of scissors. As such, multiple sections are longer or shorter than one another, some sitting at the base of his neck, while other, unseen, ones tickle the nape of it. It'll be lucky if his coif ever receives a brushing, although it generally maintains its slight side parting, allowing some of the shapey-er strands to form something of makeshift bangs. And even if combed through, Archer's hair always retains a slight curl, the less combing the more curling.
He's a bit on the taller side, ranging around at roughly six feet, and weighing in at 163 pounds, Archer is of healthy proportion. However, on some days, Archer is slightly inclined to be shorter, he sees it as more convenient, not to mention it would make his slouch a little less noticeable. His lazy persona doesn't exactly purpose the amount of energy Archer needs to hold his body up perfectly, often resorting to a lethargic stride. He's never minded this, however, and enjoys smelling the roses more than others commonly do. Deliberately taking his time, not caring about tardiness more than appreciation.
His clothes, as he would put it, are comfy and casual. The assortment of button up shirts, plaid and various other designs, and a plethora of jeans, variations of baggy slacks to the tighter kind. It really all depends on what's clean that day, or what's the cleanest. Although his clothing doesn't stand out, Archer thinks he can make his small mark with a speckled body art he hones to, Celtic bands and symbolic designs laced around his arm, reminding him of his heritage.
Even though Archer doesn't recognize it, he has some features on his body that are rather attractive; his angled nose, plump limps and deep eyes. He may complain of their boring, plain brown colour, but the way he uses them along with his facial expressions and eyebrow movement allows him to convey far more emotion than most words can.

CLASS: Breeder.*( persona! persona! let out your persona )*
LIKES: Archer is a big fan of the quiet and being left out of things, oddly enough as it may seem, but he enjoys looking from the sidelines and examining things more then being involved in them. Archer is more of a listener than a talker, even though he has no problem talking, his laziness doesn't approve of a lot it, and he finds listening to be less an effort. Speaking of laziness, Archer enjoys nothing more than sleeping, chilling and just laying around, he despises all forms of physical labour, the more severe the more he'll gripe about it. Sleep is definitely his best friend. Music is also a big thing in his life, as it is with most people, although he gravitates towards jazz and even reggae, the lax-er the tune, the more he'll enjoy it. Freedom is a big thing that resides in Archer's dreams, this usually manifests itself in the form of loving flight, just the dream of sprouting wings one day and being able to soar sends his heart aflutter, however, Archer's real dream of flying is something like hot air balloon travel, slow and floaty. Love is something Archer loves, not just like, but love, he loves the idea, and loves to hear others gush about their soulmates, he's really a sap for all of it, despite admitting that with a blush.
DISLIKES: Having to keep moving all the damn time, especially when no breaks are given, this can turn Archer's mood rather sour quite quickly, he doesn't enjoy impatient people or being forced into doing something, these things irk him to no end. He also has a partial loathing towards those who are unappreciative of what they have and the life around him, and even though he knows needing to complain is normal once in awhile, he gets easily tempered when people speak of all their misfortunes when they're actually truly blessed, but even sometimes he can lose his sight on this. Reality is something that Archer has a tendency to avoid, often escaping into the realm of day-dreams and perfect 'what if's?', he doesn't care for the overly serious nature of reality and abhors it to a degree. Sensitivity and lack of humour in people is something that Archer has a hard time coping with, especially when such traits lead to irrational behaviour, before he even cares to get frustrated or misunderstood, he'll leave the presence of such people.
HABITS: He's the king of silly grins and will usually have it on when talking to people, as long as the conversation is running smoothly of course. Usually beaming from ear to ear, it's rare for a frown to break through. He has a tendency to tap out beats when he hears them, whether it be with his feet, fingers or a pencil, he will, or even sing along if he knows the lyrics, which he's neither great nor bad at. And if laziness and avoiding work and doing just everyday things is a habit, then mark that down as his biggest.
FEARS: Bees are a huge, huge fear to Archer. Their grotesque bodies, yellow colour, buzzing noises and threatening stingers all terrify him, even the way they fly and jerk around makes him shudder. Obviously, he won't be the boy making friendly with the Combee or Beedrill. Another thing Archer fears is rejection, whether it be for someone's personal reasons or his own inadequacy, he hates not feeling good enough for something along with the feeling of disappointing people he cares about. Nightmares and night terrors do scare Archer, as they would for most people, but the thought of having them sometimes keeps him up at night, the thought of being trapped and not being able to wake up rattles his bones; he fears and loathes being restricted of all freedoms, it's something he can't even bare to imagine.
HOPES: Archer isn't the one for giant hopes and dreams. Everyday it'll be the same wish, "Enjoy yourself, be happy and don't get killed."
SECRETS: Everyone has them, Archer tries to be honest and come to terms with his own. However, all of his fears are secrets to him, not being openly explained, and the fact that he's a die-hard romantic isn't something he'd openly proclaim either.
MENTAL CONDITIONS: Unless crazy amount of sloth is a mental condition, if not then he's sane enough.
GENERAL PERSONALITY: Above all else, Archer is a lazy butt. He loves nothing more than to laze around, sleep and just basically keep activity and labour to a low quantity, if not non-existing. It really is a great effort to coax him into putting work into something, as he rarely becomes enthused about the things that need to be done, because along with his laziness, he's stubborn as a mule and couple those together and you have someone who will rarely do anything without one hell of a good reason.
Not only stubborn, but persistent as well, it seems Archer will actually put effort into keeping his beliefs and ideals alive. Once he grasps unto an idea or thought, he'll take it and run with it, it isn't that he's close-minded, it's just a brutal idea to change his mind once a thought has solidified. Because of this, Archer takes his time thinking, making sure it's what will make him happy and that's a good idea, not something ignorant and biased, he does his best to keep his thoughts non-partial and can be your go-to-guy when you need an honest opinion without a bias.
Archer keeps everything in good humour, with a slight mix of sarcastic wit and smart alec-ry, it's hard to take anything Archer says serious, unless his tone were to turn dark, which is incredibly rare. Most of what comes out of his mouth will be inclined with good humour and lazy grin, he isn't the one to stress over little things nor is he the one to understand it completely why someone people take things so seriously. He gets along with the joking type, like himself, since usually those people will be able to laugh along side him rather than take offence to his words. Laughter is incredibly important to Archer.
A bit of a hidden secret; Archer believes and follows the practices of Taoism. Thusly, he's always trying to keep good positive thoughts and do the right thing, despite the war that might be going on inside his mind. By getting amused by the angry and attempting to feel out towards the sad, Archer believes he keeps his sanity this way. And although he won't speak about it openly to strangers, he believes in keeping 'healthy chi', however he still isn't as good at Tai Chi as he would like. He's still practising.
Despite not opening up to strangers without good reason, Archer tries to be very honest about himself, mostly to himself, but he isn't the type to lie to others when questions are asked. He's getting more accustomed to his own skin everyday, and cares not what others make think about him. He's a pansexual taoist, who believes in spirits and dreams of hot balloon air rides, this just skimming the iceberg of what he'll reveal if someone is curious enough. Archer attempts to see life in a perspective of simplicity and accepts things just for what they are, trying to avoid over-analysis and judgment.
Regardless of his attempts, there is certain things about himself that will leave Archer blushing if figured. Mostly his love for love. Archer is a giant romantic and finds great pleasure in the corny and cheesy things of life, he holds love and all that entails close to his heart and is prepared to fully devote himself to the person who may claim it. However, this won't be easy as Archer never progresses within a relationship unless he can really feel something, unless there's some raw feeling in his chest. If you leave him un-sparked, he'll happily tell you that you're another great friend to have, nothing else.

*( the story, nostalgia is bittersweet )*
HOMETOWN: Toronto, Ontario. Canada, North American. Earth, Milky Way.
NATIONALITY: The majority of his heritage, as he would believe, would be Scottish. Unknowingly, from his father, he does have a British background as well.
HISTORY: Archer's history is nothing special, certainly nothing profound he would like to recall. If anything, he would like to apologize beforehand of the blandness of it all, lacking giant spectacular moments people look for, or ones brimming with deep emotion. Archer would say that he found utter contentment in his past and is glad for all that his happened, bad or good, although, perhaps he says this because he knows these are unchangeable records.
Canadian born and proud, the streets and tall buildings of Toronto was Archer's first scene. Growing up as a city kid and knowing all the leaps and bounds to survive, he'll admit that he did have to grow up a bit faster than other kids, having to survive within bustling city walls, but he loved it nonetheless. It wasn't that the hustle and bustle of it amused him, he couldn't have cared to be busy, it was all the culture and life within Toronto, all the opportunities and dynamic being of it all. If one were to say to Archer that there was no world outside of the good ole' T.O. he wouldn't feel a drop of remorse.
Archer's mother, Annabel had gotten pregnant with his older city, Lucille, five years prior, and after four years and becoming pregnant with Archer, Annabel's boyfriend of ten years had left them. Leaving a Mother with one four year old child was certainly a deplorable act, but an expecting mother? It was dark day, but it didn't last very long before the clouds dispersed and the sun shone again, for only short after his departure did Annabel's sister, Archer's aunt, take in the small family, helping them fend and care for one another. And since Archer was born after the leaving of his Father, he never knew a life with one, thus had nothing to miss. A life with two motherly figures faired just as well, but Auntie Helena always seemed to act like a fun kid at heart when it came to her niece and nephew.
From there on out, his life was very normal. Crawling, walking, first school day, middle school graduation... nothing out of the ordinary for any child. However, his mother did adapt a bit of a gambling problem at the horse track, which sparked numerous fights amongst her and her sister, but Archer was too young to know why and knew that adults fought, it was normal to him, unbeknown to his mother's addiction. But, his mind could never focus too long on those negative aspects, it always fluttered to school, especially music class. In middle school was where Archer picked up his first alto saxophone, and loved it ever since. Well, despite sucking royally at the beginning, making only loud, obnoxious, geese honks, but it never tampered his spirits. And he kept playing, as quoted, "It was something that I found effortless, even if it took practice to get good, it made me happy knowing I could create something."
Seeing the unbridled passion, Archer's seventh grade music teacher, Mr. Moore, was the first person to introduce him to jazz. Cool, swinging melodies that just spoke volumes of chill hearts and peaceful minds, notes that spelled out good times in the forms of rhythm and smooth brass. Archer was completely enamoured, and focuses on idolizing the jazz kings around the world; from Coltrane, to Davis, to even Shepp and Brubeck. Archer really believed it was his calling, so once his application to Etobicoke School of the Arts was declined Archer was heartbroken, even though he tried to hide it with a shaky grin and a shrug.
And even though he knew that school wasn't the only one in the entire world, the feeling of rejection through him into a downward spiral of thoughts that convinced him that even though his loved the music with all his heart, maybe love wasn't enough. He may have not stopped playing, but his high dreams were left subdued and to become nostalgic thoughts.
Attending a normal high school was probably the worst backlash of it all, nothing more bored and tired him to pieces than high school and it's pressure and lack of freedom. It was a dread getting up each morning. But, in grade eleven, when Archer took his first psychology class (titled APS, otherwise known as anthropology, psychology and sociology) he immediately took to it like a bird in flight, find the deeper insight and freedom of thought liberating and exciting. When Archer came to apply music to psychology things started to make more sense and look brighter for him, music had so much affect on the brain that the concept was shell-shocking to him, it was something he started to pursue more than anything else (leaving his math and science grades to dwindle with C+'s).
But, Archer didn't know how to apply this theory too tangibly, no matter how much he researched and realized. Until the day Lucille announced that she would be leaving to coordinate Pokémon professionally in the Sinnoh region, it was then that Archer realized that Pokémon would be the absolutely perfect species to test out his music->psychology theories and questions. Could it be used for better training? Higher affection? Could it affect the species within the egg state?
It was these questions and more that made Archer seek out where he could take his life with this, he studied psychology for two years in Ryerson University before wanting to find a higher calling by pursuing a Pokémon infested region, Lanorae was one by random choice, hopefully his luck will guide him.
